Ballin should also have had many penalties awarded to him last night for players laying in the ruck, markers not square etc!
Why does farah get those penalties all the time and Ballin didn't get any?

1000 kick meters last nyt. We kicked early and tried to play the game at the right end of the field on a wet pitch.
Snakes kick chase was heart worming for this long time fan.

Snake was really enthusiastic in all facets, kick returns were better than normal and his kick chase to push perret dead was awesome. They did not look a team divided!

There is no trick to beating a team like the Bulldogs. It basically takes a very good opposition (like Manly) to defend with aggression, stop the offloads and nullify the Canterbury go forward. Last nights victory was won when we didn't have the ball, more so than when we did. That sort of defence from Manly is the only way to beat a side like The Bulldogs. You just have to go toe to toe and hope you win; that's what we did last night and it was beautiful to watch!

So many of our supporters take this guy for granted; he is the envy of opposition supporters the competition over. He is an absolute champion and one of the greatest footballers to ever lace a boot!

Perrett also used his boot to try to stop JSL from scoring , milked the penalty that got Taufua reported (which also gave them field position for their 2nd try) and tried to take out Snake with his shoulder as Snake chased the kick to score his first try. There's no doubt that he's bought into the Bulldogs' culture because he wasn't like this when he played for the Roosters.

Kasiano could argue that he thought he saw a bucket of KFC on the field behind DCE and was merely lunging for it . He was just too hungry from watching all the video ref decisions on the scoreboard showing the Colonel.Apparently Eastwood got there first and played with the bucket under his shirt for the rest of the match but nobody noticed .

I have to admit that sometimes after a win, especially a big win like last night, I like to read the opposition forums game day thread and see what excuses they come up with. Besides, its usually a good laugh :D

Though other than the refs being the usual target, most fans generally concede that Manly is a very talented and tough football team.

Others may not like Manly, but there is a lot of respect and admiration out there for this team.

Manly's defence was excellent despite missing 34 tackles compared with only 13 by the Bulldogs. It all depends whether the missed tackles cost points. Kasiano only missed 1 tackle but JSL scored as a result . Apart from the missed tackles, Brown made a bad read and Hiku scored as a result. The reverse is also true regarding the latter 2 players. Poor defensive reads are more important when reviewing a match .

It's a lot easier to make your tackles when you slow the ruck down as much as the Bulldogs did as well as stand offside with relative impunity.

Be lucky to restrict them to 40 points with our "pop gun" pack up against the best pack in the nrl.

If only Gift was playing! He thrives on these sorts of games, and up against monster packs.

Well, that went well now, didn't it.

What did Foz and DCE do for 60 mins?

Ah, a hindsight heavyweight!

Did you debate him at the time, or did you just wait?

Point taken Moops, it was probably more a case of me looking through the threads after our win on Friday and commenting on some of the negativity that was about after our performance last week.
