Tallyn Da Silva

Sure but should we not be looking to address all areas of weakness?

Why is it one or the other?

There is nothing wrong with having more competition for spots, but in my opinion, when fully fit I don't think that Croker is the problem. He is on $350k and he does not startle the attack of this team. I really don't think our staff (under two head coaches) are silly enough to play someone at hooker for 110+ games if they thought otherwise.

How many premiership winning hookers from the past 10 years have been noted for their running from dummy half? I've heard this isolated as a reason that we aren't contenders but I'm not sure.

2016 - Michael Ennis
2017, 2020 - Cameron Smith
2018 - Jake Friend
2019 - Sam Verrills
2021, 2022 - Api Koroisau
2023, 2024 - Mitch Kenny

Yep, it's a chicken-and-egg type of situation - if we had a better bunch of forwards, then Croker would be okay. He is no worse than Kenny and Verrills. But seeing we don't have a good forward pack then Croker's limitations are constantly talked about.

In a Results driven business
I dont see any results in your post

Proud Manly People dont support the ones that have lead the club behind into another crisis with their decisions that they have made and they are accountable for
Passionate Manly people will always get behind the club but we will not support the mediocre losers that bring the club down to their mediocre level
Mestrov is no loser

Especially in the department that his currently employed in with us now..

He single handedly turned NSW Greyhound racing around and since he's left is starting to once again sadly decline.
The guy has a job to do with us and he's more than capable.

And before you go on about his football career...just remember
He's played First grade and at some very notable clubs

One being us and the other South's
Making grade isn't something any looser can do.

He's not here now as a player but a club manager!

Take your own advice and Support the club Bozo. Not the factions

Given we are coming off a game where our starting hooker played 80 minutes and did not take a single run the whole time.. going after Da Silva is a no brainer. Would be worth the $$$ given he’d be filling a hole we’ve had for 5 years
Or we could play our best hooker who has been excellent when starting instead of playing Cromer who is one of our dad’s army

He’s a good marketing type. Not sure on some of the evidence to date that he will ever be a great CEO.

Certainly though, we don’t need to change out another CEO anytime soon.
