The Daily Telegraph's salary methodology is basically this:

"X player is on $185k. That's basically $200k. Because of the 2024 salary cap rise, we can put that as $250k. He might have a ratchet clause, so now it's $300k. I was reading some drivel on a forum, and someone mistyped his salary as $400k. So now he's on $400k. But $600k is the new $400k, so now he's a $600k player. He's an Isaac Moses player, so now he's $800k.

So we overspend and pay 600k on the the Wests Tigers back up hooker and make him the 6-8th highest paid hooker in the game, when he isn't any better than our own back up hooker ... then we will hear the complaints on here asking where all our salary cap has gone when we cant keep other players or strengthen the forwards. 🤷‍♂️

Also I like Simpkin but , he should be starting for us but on all I've seen of both Da Silva is a significant upgrade.

I like him as a player my only reservations are will Seibold play him? If he does the only other issue is if he plays great Tartak will do his usual crap and destabilize our cap by demanding an instant increase.

Good signing Croker needs to go. I like simpkin but talyn has top tier potential.
We have zero threat out of dummy half with Croker which stifles our attack.
Now hopefully we can snag a forward or two for next year.
