I find it curious, that as a passionate Manly fan you have not called DCE out for playing horrendously the last 6 week's.

He should have told Manly management privately that he won't be taking up the offer and he would be leaving, they would have kept it quiet until his new deal was signed because it served no purpose to hang him out to dry and also would have given them time to go into the market for someone else. Instead he went on ch9 without the clubs knowledge and caused a circus around it. Destroying his legacy in the process and carrying on about the club not respecting him enough?? Give me a break, club has over paid him for 13 years and let how many decent players go to manage our stupid over blown salary cap. I actually can't wait till he is gone.

He was never staying.. because the money was never going to be enough..it's that simple..
He knew management would have to move on far too many players and that was never going to be possible.

And how would he look if Manly suddenly started moving players on to keep him.

FACTS are DCE knew what our salary cap looked like, he also knew that for him to play on with us he would need to take a "haircut".. so he basically held off the club only to have his management shop him around..

They didn't have to go far.. they knew who needed a half and who would pay up..

They then kept the club in the dark only to come out and cause a massive media circus and f@#k our season in the process.. that's ALL FACT.. we are seeing it unfold no matter what side of the fence you sit.

I didn't boo DCE after the announcement out of respect not just for him but the club.. the club is bigger than him and as supporters we needed to get around the club as much as DCE to get through the "white noise" and get our season back on track and out of the media..

But no.. DCE wasn't satisfied because suddenly people started questioning his roll, how he came out and his future.. commentators saw through his BS and once again Mr Media DCE put the club out front claiming an official had "hurt his feelings by something that was over heard to be said about him ..last year" and then there was a "smear campaign from official at the club ..against him"

Mate I know your a passionate manly man but seriously take off your anti Mestrov and Anti Penn glasses and call it for what it is.

DCE could have handled this better.but he didn't because he doesn't care about the club or its fans.

He's f@#ked our season and he's ok with it..how can you support that.. I always supported DCE but seriously enough is enough.. this has nothing to do with management.

He knew exactly where the club was at regarding salary cap so he made his plans...

Unfortunately DCE will end his career on a really sour note and that's on him, I'm pretty sure he's happy to live with it.. he may regret it later in life when he's older and more mature but atm he's only seeing $$$%%$..

I think the broader fan base will see him for who he really is, he will be quickly forgotten and never really spoken about in glowing terms from this point on.. he will live with the "looks" and the "talk" for now but as I said in years to come he will know what he did and that he could have done it better.

So I really hope he gets the worst booing in the history of Australian sport at his final home game.. I hope it's that bad that it stains his memory for ever.. that is what he deserves after the way he's treated the club..

I watched a replay of yesterdays game this morning , minimal involvement , mostly mistakes, zero captain like attitude.

I get you’re pissed , at us being pissed , but surely you can see what’s going on.

He’s announced he’s leaving , no reasons , the club he’s been a part of for 15 years , and since then he clearly does not give a flying ****.

So if he doesn’t , why should I??

By the way , as I have said you are absolutely entitled to your view and I respect that, but I think it’s time to understand there’s an alternative view and we just have to agree to disagree.

He needs to go , he’s tearing the club , the fans and obviously his team mates apart.

Which I believe is exactly the point f everything he’s done.

Hey I've already remarked about the question of his play and even suggested the captaincy be taken off him and be given a few weeks to prove he doesn't deserve a stint in the Reggies. Thing is I separate the issue of what he says from how he performs. I've said it again and again what he says may have all sorts of reasons behind it but I see little to be troubled with. However performance is a different matter. He's require to perform to the best of his skill and if he doesn't then the coach needs to take action. You're confusing my attitude to what he says and how he performs. Totally different issue. His words are no issue to me. His performance is. I've already said his performance is down and needs to be addressed.
