He's window is surely closing add it does for us all.. he's no superhuman.

So yeah he will get a gig elsewhere but if the Roosters don't pay the mega bucks he wants and go looking elsewhere I bet my arse he ends up in the super league because they will pay more than any other NRL club.

Strong rumour doing the rounds yesterday of Galvin to the Rosters and DCE to the Dolphins. Not sure how he fits in at Dolphins. Katoa to 5/8?
 
Not that it should be any general concern from a Manly perspective but could be some doubt if D C E may even get or close to a mil $ deal in 26 particularly at the Dolphins .
And if a i mil deal has not already been tentatively agreed to at the Roosters and with a couple of their real good outside back prospects really hitting their straps now , could well be reduced cap funds after catering for their future requirements and the prospect of Young not being able to be transferred on favorable terms for the Roosters any time soon .
Anyway , better involvement by D C E last week apart from a couple of wrong options and at least his one on one defence was up to par which seemed to indicate commitment
So really should not matter where he ends up next season , providing he can again play at an expected level for Manly for their remaining club games in 25 .
 
If this DCE ****storm started a year ago, his form has done nothing to suggest any top team would be after him. And his attitude as a leader must be under the microscope also

After origin last year for many weeks his form lacked effort, and heading into this year his best games can be counted on 1 toe

If you put his last 15 or so games together its pretty lean, and a bit cheeky to consider yourself a million dollar player , getting older every minute

In that time his language has never been about maturing as a footy player or to temper himself for the good of the team, so his footy IQ dialogue isn't going to please a club looking for a leader of a team as a 7

On top of that he has acted like a wanker

All teams can ignore the wank factor when your footy is good enough but it has not been

After the brandon smith signing i doubt the chooks will be that careless again in a hurry so them going soft on the deal is a real option. No contract lodged, no deal. Too bad too sad.he publicly said he might retire so the chooks could say we thought you were

If he ends up at the phins there are only 2 reasons which is cool but what a first ckass sook in the way he handled it.

Either way manly, mestrov, seibs and us fans have dodged a bullet. Imagine having this clown for the next 2 and a half years. He has always played footy for himself, then qld and the team . Now manly is at least 4 th and any real sporstmen, not althletes , the only thing that is number 1 is the result or that footy

In his infamous tv appearance he said it wasn't for more money. Obviously he might get more, even a lot more if other clubs come in the bidding late (who knows what will be happening with other clubs in a couple months time).
It was pretty obvious his nose was significantly out of joint at Manly and his tv show was an FU to the club.
He currently still wants to play on in 26, but depends how he gets through from here - I think he's battled physically so far this season, so retirement remains an option (and he also said he's quite accepting of that too).

The Infamous and Incapable Mestrov contract negotiations that were not able to achieve a diplomatic resolution

It was pretty obvious that Mestrov pissed DCE off to the point where DCE did not want a bar of him being along side him at a press conference so he DCE decided to stand alone .

DCE currently wants to play Origin . To those that think he is done they are wrong because he will be playing Origin

A local junior, Mestrov made his first-grade debut for Manly-Warringah in Round 12, 1990 against the Gold Coast Seagulls, coming off the bench in a 34–0 victory at Brookvale Oval.
Mestrov played a Grand total of 17 first grade games for Manly and scores one try

In 1994, Mestrov signed for South Sydney. Mestrov was a part of the Souths team which won that year's pre-season Tooheys Challenge Cup. Mestrov played in the final in which they defeated the Brisbane Broncos 27–26 at Albury.<a href="Tony Mestrov - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>3<span>]</span></a>

Mestrov played one further season for Souths before departing at the end of 1995 to move to England and take up a contract with the London Broncos. He later signed with Wigan after leaving London at the end of 1997.

Mestrov played for Wigan as a prop forward in their 1998 Super League Grand Final victory over the Leeds Rhinos, and as an interchange forward in their 2000 Super League Grand Final loss to St Helens.

In 2001, Mestrov returned to the London Broncos for one final season before retiring from the game.
