Not sure the universe would be big enough LOL

But seriously, having been a Manly fan from 1967 to 2023, I am pretty certain that DCE is close to cracking the clubs top 10 halfbacks list.

If only we could win 60-70 games in a row to increase his win percentage from 46% since 2014 to about 50% which would lift him from 'Bog Average' to 'Average' and perhaps sneak him into 9th or 10th spot of our all time great halves.
What happened in 2023 Turtlely, for you to not be a Manly fan anymore? @

I'm not sure if he is taking the piss or he is actually finished? I hope for the roosters it is the later
If he's not cooked, in his position it's so easy to throw games with kicks that are completely misplaced that should see us with try scoring opportunities but are way too short or far from our players.
Twerp has always been a defensive nightmare so easy enough to continue with that.
Cannot wait for him and Seibold to be gone.

Just piss him off immediately……I don’t want to see him take the field for us again…..
IMO DCE has been a great servant for Manly over very many seasons. But so regrettable this season has been a disaster for him, his legacy, and the Manly club. His demeaner on the field tonight was that of a broken player, plus also, for just about the first time, the realisation that time has finally caught up with him and so physically he cannot cope or match up with NRL football. It was telling that the young gun Strange for Canberra, beat DCE easily on a number of occasions and made DCE look uncompetitive. DCE's NRL career certainly looks to be coming to an end, and I cannot believe that he would be a positive force at Easts (if he actually does go there). It has been a monumental (and sad) stuff up, largely of course of his own making.

He is almost 37. Such a tiny percent of one percent of nrl players can play at that age. He just can’t physically do what he needs to do.

After watching tonight it wouldn’t surprise me if he retired. Imagine in 12 months time.

Same thing happened to Matt Orford.

If anyone needs another reason why he should be dropped, next week would be his 349th game for the club which would tie the Manly/Northern Eagles franchise record set by Beaver. I still recognise Beaver as our most capped player despite what the records might say and personally I’d rather have an actual legend of the club hold that mantle over this flog.

Like a few have said, I can't tell if he's just spoiling the team to drown Seibold with him, or if he's genuinely past it.

The way his decline occured, basically upon a dime, makes me think it's the former. That absolutely stings. Due to sponsorship and optics reasons I doubt they will drop him. If they were going to drop him it all, it would've been after the second Cowboys game.

However, if it is genuinely the latter, I can't see him doing anything bar retiring. Surely the Roosters are off him, unless he's sent a text through saying "Just preserving myself for you Master Politis, just like Lenin is preserving himself in embalmer for the next revolution".

This times a million and exactly what I was coming on here to say. I will always recognise that record and I don't want it equalled or beaten by this fraud.

Never wished serious injury on a player but if he did his knee at training this week no tears would be shed.

Decline is always going to happen

He is 37 years old up against athletes in the peak in early to mid 20s.

Sports science has come a long way but time catches up with everyone including DCE.

The moment he went on 9 on his own accord to politely tell Manly to get fkd was the start of the end. Don’t care how they tried to sugar coat it Jake’s reaction to it was telling about how it all went about. DCE gave up on the club and his team mates gave up on him too. We were 3 wins from 4 games to that point and we have been on a slippery slide since. DCE is playing like garbage and lost the 7 and captaincy of QLD who went on to win the series after being 1-0 down.

There was a time he was elite but that has long gone and is now just a $600K half that thinks in his head only he is worth $1M+

We were camped in the Raiders 20m for a lot of last nights game. You need Fwds to get you field position but once you are in the 20m it’s the backs that finish it off and 43-9 tackles in the opp 20 is a telling sign that this guy has zero care factor.

He might leave with all sorts of records but he won’t be remembered as one of the greats, at least in my eyes.

It baffles me as to why he keeps the captaincy let alone remain on the field as our half. Running sideways checked out in his head is not inspiring the team to mentally grind out a game. Coach needs to grow a set and promote a more deserving player as leader.
