Would have loved to see him have a consistent run at 13 in this team
So would've Jazz.

I thought backended deals were banned by the NRL some years ago (prior to Tom & Jake's current contracts)? Its also been reported that both jake and tom are on back ended deals next season chewing up more cap though
Need a contract to swapWouldn’t have minded it being a swap deal for Caius Fa’atili from Wakefield Trinity. I have been watching him since he was 15 and always surprised he hadn’t made NRL debut by now, backtower, moved over to Super League this season and has turned into a cult hero, scored a ripper of try from his own half in one game
Never thought id see a white ginger with a surname like fa'atili. I must be getting old lolWouldn’t have minded it being a swap deal for Caius Fa’atili from Wakefield Trinity. Haha same feeling I had when I saw him ! He was 15 playing club footy against men and held his own, dominated NZ rep level while still a teenager, went over to Qld in NRL systems but spat out of that earlyNever thought id see a white ginger with a surname like fa'atili. I must be getting old lol
He brings some spirit and personality to the club, both on and off the field. Still, there comes a time when his talents and skills will no longer be valued as age catches up with him.Agreed, Jazz is a rare forward I actually would’ve liked to see stick around too.
Isn't there some younger and mobile forwards that Manly can elevate from NSW CupHe has been one of our better performers this season but we need a complete overhaul of the pack. Tevaga will do a job but he is not elevating us to premiership contention. I also think Brown’s re-signing after one solid year is anecdotal evidence of the gamble one takes with forwards on the wrong side of 30. Sure, Jazz might have been a handy squad player for next year, but we are in big trouble if we can’t offset the loss of a player of his calibre.
Or... clearing the decks (!)f young Da Silva doesn't choose us, it all has a bit of a sinking ship feel.
Probably the fact he was offered more $$ and a longer contract at Wakefield.Good decision by Manly to not compete7 News ....
Manly have lost forward Jazz Tevaga to the Super League after the Samoan international opted to sign with Wakefield Trinity from next season.
AAP understands that Tevaga has signed a two-year deal with Trinity, after knocking back the option to stay with the Sea Eagles.
One Wonders about the Jazz Motive ?
It certainly was not a Manly Motive to Stay
One Wonders about the Seibold Manly culture ?
Who do we even go after? Who's available? Perhaps we should look at England like CanberraBy all reports 2026 now without contracts for DCE, Aloiai, Tevaga, Sipley, Schoupp, Matterson, James, GCKT, possibly Arthur, and Vaega. Maybe 3.5M?
In comes Fogarty, Large, and Laifai. Maybe 1M?
I'm assuming we are not spending 2.5M on upgrades, in addition to the finished Schuster payout.
Recruitment have a lot to get done
