My Cortina was a great little car. Dark blue with a white vinyl roof which also had a sunroof (although like all backyard jobs, it leaked lol). 4 on the floor with a 3.3L (200 cui) cross-flow engine. That thing had some get up and go for an old Ford straight 6.

Cost me $1000 in 1991. The previous owner (my older sister) saw me coming LOL. She only paid $750 for it.
The car I really wanted was one of the little green escort panel vans the old county council had. But you had to get them at auction or something.
They were cool.

I heard paul kent trying to explain why the bulldogs are in a mess. Pt 1 they listened to john grant say the cap would be approx. $10 mil. Bulldogs went ahead and forked out for $10.4 mil. It turned out to be $9.6mil. Pt 2 they paid Foran $1.1mil a season. If u missed that ... $1.1 mil !!!! At the warriors were paying him $360,000. Foran wanted to get back to sydney. I have staed this in another thread. This is the worse signing of all times.
Bulldogs were/are incompetent and all own fault.
Thanks De$.

Wedding bells for Foran
Kieran Foran may have had a difficult time on the field this season, but he has been busy off it. He has proposed to his partner Karina Ormsby and they are getting married. Ormsby posted a pic on her Instagram where she is sporting a ring. Foran proposed three weeks ago.

She made no real reference to the engagement, but teammates are aware of the news. The couple have recently purchased a property. She has six kids from previous relationships and Foran has two with his ex Rebecca Pope.

Foran has been put on a trade list by the Dogs but is determined to stay put, fix his body and prove that he can be one of the games leading players again.

Mahela Jayawardene holds the record for the highest test score ever by a right handed batsman, 374 against South Africa. This innings was also part of the highest ever test partnership when he combined with Sangakarra to put on 624 for the third wicket. He sits behind Sanga as the second most prolific run scorer in Sri Lankan cricket 11,800 odd at an average a tick under 50. This pair were mainstays of the Sri Lankan batting order for many a season. Blessed with a solid technique he wasn't the most flamboyant or destructive batsman of his era, but a wonderful timer of the ball who could play shots all round the wicket.

He could also possibly hold the record for the longest name in world cricket - Denagamage Proboth Mahela de Silva Jayawardene

I had a '69 Cortina which cost me (read my old man) $200. Four on the tree and was a great little car. White and primer.

Sadly, I too owned a VC 4 cylinder Bommodore. You timed that thing with a calendar.
