I have mixed feelings about Foz, it was a privilege to see him rise through the ranks, win a comp at 20 and be an immediate legend, then to sign for Whinging worms and be in the wilderness for many years before giving the club 2 years of consistent brave peformances before being squeezed out by the cap.

Congratulations on a great career and hopefully one day you will return to the club in some capacity!

I’m not personally mixed at all. Loved the club and was treated poorly on both occasions. Regardless has never spoken ill of us and has always expressed how much love he has for the maroon and white. One of my favourite players of the modern era. Hindsight is 20/20 but I truely believe we would have been more successful over the past 14 years if our #6 stayed instead of our #7. Wish them both all the best for their futures though

I will agree that he was sacrificed in 2022 to keep Schuster and in 2015 he took the whinging worm coin and spend that whole season not invested in the club, 2015 was a terrible season as a result of him leaving and the money it took to retain DCE after he backflipped.

Foz redeemed himself after all that and his legacy is a great one.

Alot of people mention foz let manly down when he went to parra and manly had to backtrack and get dce. I don't know the facts as to whether he screwed manly in that one other than leaving the club, which while i was disappointed, he and any player has a right to do.

I wonder whether he was dirty like the stewart bros and other players were at the time.

It is well documented how his life went after that, and I was glad he came back to manly and has long since mentioned his love of the club and hindsight of never should have left manly.

He has been honest in himself and to the fans, does a lot of awareness outside of league and is a player you cant help but admire.

For me, it is a shame he didn't play his career out at Manly, but also cant forget the impact that may have had as he missed plenty of games throughout his career.

Still, Foran will always be a legend for the club and id guess for a large percentage, if not all of manly fans.

Foz talking about his career and his family on Fox post-game, made me feel much more, than I did at any point for DCE yesterday. It shouldn't be that way, but that's DCE's character for you.

Such a great person Foran. As real as they come. Given what he went through, and how good he was upon his return, I will be eternally dirty that they picked Schuster over him. Lazy, disinterested, and entitled Schuster, over this man, who went through hell and back, and gave everything for this club.

After the warrior's game they interviewed dce on the field and he was still having a silent dig at the club, carefully saying he will remember the "good things" at the club etc.

He cant be respectful or the better man in whatever his issue is.

It wasn't the time, but demonstrates the difference between foz and dce.

I think the way his teammates embraced him after the game says it all. As you said real, thats spot on.

I just couldn't stop thinking how different the reception Foz got from his team mates compared to DCE.. and Foz had only been there a couple of years.

Really showed the admiration and respect the other players held for Foz as a player and a person.

DCE got a few pats on the back and handshakes. Those action tell you alot about who DCE is to his team mates.

Very well said. I will also be eternally dirty they did that to foran. He was my favourite player and I was devastated when he left so happy when he came back and then devastated yet again. We ended up with brooks ffs after failure Schuster instead of this manly legend finishing his career where it all started. We really are a dumb club it must be said haha toovey foran Barrett spoonbold 🥄

💯

I was at the game last night and the respect Foz got from his team mates and crowd was amazing.

The did a pre game video on his career and a pretty big part was Foz in a Manly jumper. There were quite a few Manly jumpers and ex players in the crowd as well.

Better still seeing how his kids embraced him and his wife/partner was special. Obviously a great family mam as well.

Hope he has a great next career.
