The Realistic Cleanout

When was he on unders? Isaah Yeo is the best lock in the game & has only been on $850k a year for the entire Penrith dynasty. Jake has made more than him every year since Hasler extended the brothers. $850k-$950k in his prime was fair value. Saying it was unders is deluded IMO.
If he was on $850k per season for 6 seasons & he’s getting paid $1.2m for next season, it means he was on an average of $600k for the other 5 seasons.

How have you worked that out? Of course he wasn’t on $850k for 6 seasons, the money went up gradually every season

Using your nominated range of $850-$950 above, & taking into account he’s apparently being paid $1.2m next season due to a back ended contract:

$850k x 6 years = $5.1m
$5.1m - $1.2m = $3.9m
$3.9m/the remaining 5 of the 6 years = an average of $780k per year.

EDIT: my maths is out 😂 it would be an average of $780k per year.

but if the money went up every season (sounds like a back ended contract despite the NRL rule), do you think Manly started the first year at his value, and then started to pay overs year on year, or started at unders leading to paying overs at the end.
