Three years later, Elgey finally unites with DCE

Together at last – Kane Elgey and Daly Cherry-Evans sweating it out in the Sea Eagles pre-season hoping to steer Manly back to the good old days of finals football.

Their union was originally supposed to happen in 2016 at the Gold Coast Titans. But Cherry-Evans back-flipped on a four-year deal and then Elgey tore his anterior cruciate ligament anyway that January, missing the entire season.

But in 2019 the two blond-haired Queenslanders seem destined to link in round one for Manly against the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.

The Elgey/DCE partnership is very exciting... Kane might turn out to be an absolute ripper of a signing. He’s got a bit of Kearey about him has Elgey... just needs to get his defence sorted.

Kane has demonstrated that he has all the skills . Defensively he can technically improve . Players like Kane are confidence players and once they get into a rhythm and belief in their strengths, abilities, and capacities, we then see them at their peak performance . Competent coaches bring out the best in their players and their team . Over to you Des .
