Well... The NRL must be hoping that sewing is coming back in style with all the stitching up their Referees are doing! Some people are saying that it is the 'loss we had to have' which may be easier to take, if it wasn't the referees saying it!

Ok, if you are going to backchat a ref, you're going to have a bad time but as for referees boss 'Magoo' Archer saying throwing a ball into a player on the ground is a penalty and awarding a try that no one believes should have been is just like:

Isn't it convenient for the NRL to have State of Origin this week so Manly can get screwed over but the memory deficient media can move on to other things. Coincidence? I think not.

As we've proved many times on this forum that Manly were legitimately ripped off, lets get on to the week that was and see if anyone benefited from choosing Penrith to "win."

Why yes! 15% of you knew the stitch up was coming and chose Penrith correctly.

With only four games on the weekend many were hoping for a full card (well we do every week, but you know...) BUT only one champion managed to romp home with all of the glorious points!

It's interesting to note that [B]@mickqld[/B] who we rely on to death-ride Manly each week (and thus ensuring us a win) actually picked Penrith!!! I'm so disillusioned I dont know which way is up or where my head is.

But the real winner is of course this week's random member mention.

With an appropriate user name (Eagles to envy - for those err challenged) Eagles2nv shows the insight to what we all have to face every day as Manly fans. Envy, envy, and more envy oozing out of the pores of all that have chosen the dark side. The envy is not limited to other teams fans....ref's, tv schedulers, NRL head office are all infected with the green eyed monster.

Not one for the overuse of ratings, the only three times he has 'given more than received' has been with the ratings of Troll, Yart, and Funny. This may mean he thinks it's hilarious when handing out troll ratings but I don't know...and am too afraid to ask.

"Eagles" is a great contributor to the forum. He's not shy in starting new threads (and neither should anyone be) and I tried finding a ridiculous post he made (for da lulz)....but the man makes too much sense!

So congrats on your biggest accolade to date...this weeks random member mention! Well done!

Well Manly faithful, only six games to choose from this week and this Wednesday is Channel 9's biggest game of the century (till next year) - State of Origin III - the decider.

lol, I had a margin of 195 points but just missed out! There's a margin game now ( War v Pen: which is also the bonus game.... I guess as everyone knows.)

Maybe we should have a 'what margin will Manly lose the penalty count by?' As a side option!
