Well...the last of the bye weeks have passed and Manly ground out another win after Penrith's "Perenara" special. He was also the ref that prompted Geoff Toovey's "There's got to be an investigation" speech. Maybe there's some residual bitterness?

But let us not dwell on the sins of the galatically incompetent, especially after the win against the Wests Tigers kept us well into the hunt for a top four finish. Awesome!

Speaking of winning (No, not you NSW, sit back down) there were six games last week and were there any heroes who got the full card?

Yes! Two heroes in fact!

So, who had the closer all important margin to get the gold star on his 100% report card?
Neither! You both finished 12 points away so everything is split so I guess you both get a shiny gold star.

Well finally a random member mention of someone I have actually met!
Many of us know 'HM' as the person who knows all things Manly. She has become our official go to genius on here and many times I see one of us post: "I don't know, ask HappilyManly!"

HM has also taken on the arduous task of creating the game day threads each week. These are well done, packed full of info and don't bloody post in them until game day! Most weeks she does the pre game discussion threads and the non manly games thread as well. All of this is appreciated by us mortals and it is a good sign of a forum's strength when people volunteer to do these things.

When not answering all of our questions, creating threads, posting and generally being an all round top contributor, HM looks after bewildered Manly fans from overseas and their spouses. Yes, I'm talking about yours truly. Mr ge and his plus one (not hat, but hat was there) rocked into Manly to be met by a very gracious HM who took us for coffee, showed us around the place and generally made sure we had a good time.

I also wanted to see Manly's training ground and HQ at Narrabeen. After parting company, I drove off....only to realise I had no idea where I was going! Just like on these boards, a text to HM resulted in a quick text back telling me where to go- in a good way.

Thanks HM and congrats on being this weeks random member mention! What a prize!

Well Manly faithful, we're back to eight games per round from now on. And it's round 20! Can you believe it? It's going so fast.

It's probably not too late to join the tipping comp!!!

No I tip Manly in the tipping comp but deathride them in posts. That's how it works don't try and change it. We lost to Penriff cause I actually tipped Penriff.
