I just watched the last 5 mins of the Dragons v Tigers match with the Tigers needing to score to win.

Talau drops the ball when attacking the line on a 3 on 2.

Next set of 6, has an unmarked winger, so he hogs it goes inside and gets tackled.

WOW I really hope he is better than that, but generally what happens under pressure is how the player is.
Another rubbish signing by Seibold

The tigers are dancing in Leichhardt now that we have signed him as they know how bad he is

Can't wait for Issac Moses oops I mean Seibold's next big signing - Alex Seyfarth no doubt

Watched Talau last night. Generally seems to move ok, has power, and has a bit of speed off the mark. But also needs some good coaching in the fundamentals of centre 3/4 play - such as draw and pass and the like.
If he wants good coaching he should go anywhere else but Manly

The thing I am amazed with is how bad all the young guys playing for Brisbane were under Spoonbold.
Kevin walks in and they seem to be a lot better and more consistent. Might just be because they are 2 years older, but that cannot be the only reason.

They had no older heads around them, that was one of Seibold's errors I think he acknowledges in hindsight.
Kevvies first year or so he was constantly under pressure because the side was going crap. They bought Reynolds and Capewell and that's when it started to turn around. And yes, with their top young talent another year or 2 older makes all the difference.

And yet, the Broncos went downhill fast while under the tutelage of Terrific Tony. His second season in the coaches box was the greatest catastrophe in Brisbane history. Broncos supporters absolutely loathe the guy. Anthony Noballs will also have many NRL hardened players in DCE, Jake, Woods, Turbo, Lodge, Reubs and Brooks next season, and the young guns will all be a year older.

Take a quick look at the squad the Spoon had to work with in 2020 and ask yourself, how does this lot end up finishing 16th?

David Sieberfield has assembled the roster he wants so there can be no excuses next year!

It will be the making or breaking of Anthony Robbinsbold, the great NRL motivator.

I just gave my opinion of why!
That's fine, you believe Seibold can't coach, and many agree with you. And who cares what bronco fans think anyway.
Actually I've heard quite a few Bronco players say they did rate him as coach. Whatever, he will be judged on how he goes at Manly, we probably agree on that at least.

Of that unsuccessful squad, at least 19 have been moved on or retired. A complete revamp plus maturing of young players have been major factors for the team's current success.

Plus you can find 6 to 8 players on that list that explain perfectly why they were struggling, our current rosters is not to different.

My first reaction was hey that's not right but then I tried to think of counter examples ...

Dce has been consistently better. Garrick too I think. Then ... some guys have been better at times but I can't think of anyone else who was consistently better. Maybe bully when he comes off the bench in the middle. Burbo when he's played.
Unfortunately, that just sounds like how the team has been playing for a couple of years now. Some days players play well and the next game, not so good. It's that lack of consistency that is killing us. Not sure DCE has improved his game that much, rather he is playing at a high level more consistently this year. I feel that has come from being at peace with his role with QLD now. That acceptance seems to have done wonders for his confidence. Anywayz, not sure but just don't think someone like Talau is the answer. Gotta get that forward pack balance right before we go anywhere, I reckon.

20 of those players are no longer there.

I dont think Kev is a coach's arsehole personally. all the Bronc's young bucks have come of age and adding Reynolds and now Walsh has finished the puzzle.

If a top coach was in charge of that side right now they would be almost unbeatable. Pernith quality.

They are presently two points ahead of Penrith and the biggest threat to stopping a three peat. They also beat Penrith at home.

Kevvie was a **** coach when he started and still is.
He was chopping and changing the side as he had no answers and they were playing like crap.
The only thing that saved him from getting the axe was firstly getting in Reynolds to coach and organise the side and then getting in Walsh to provide a second attacking option to complete the backline.
Gee a little like how our side would score more points if our Ferrari wasn't always in the shop.
Coaches live and die by the cattle they have and being able to get the best from them, knowing who to recruit and being able to get them in is a skill.
Webster has done well at the Warriors for example, but he has brought in players that give him a tough, workmanlike pack and the backs feed off it.

Where would Kevvie list in terms of the top nrl coaches this year? Marginally above Siebold I’d imagine. Everybody knows the change in that side is due due Reynolds.
