The bizarre thing about RL is the strange patterns that emerge throughout the years. It's very rare that a team beats the same club twice in a matter of weeks. Very rare. For this reason, I think the Dogs will win; for no other reason than that's the pattern. I'd be more confident in a Manly victory if we'd lost the match in rd. 26.

You would be more confident if we lost the last 3 matches in the season, rather than 2 out of 3 ? 🤔

Whether Tom takes those 4th tackle hit ups will be an indication how confident he is in his shoulder.
I hate that anytime, and definitely in this game!
We share different views on the odds, I’m actually really surprised Manly aren’t the favourites - the dogs have had two shockers in a row, but the recent game against the Cows took the cake. Add on top of that the drama with The Fox only moved the dogs as favourites to now equal doesn’t seem right. I’m guessing punters are really expecting both teams to show up after bad losses
Sportsbet can't decide which of us is worse.

360 crew said Turbo will get needled before the game and at halftime , shouldn't feel anything but the days after will be very painful

Clearly the dogs will attack our sh*itty right side defense. So why not shift players around when we are defending. Perhaps have Lawton and Taulau on the right. Better defenders than DCE and Garrick.

Tommy averages 4 tackles a game (including his game at centre) so realistically its closer to 3.

He'll be fine, its not 30 a game.
I’m worried about the contact when being tackled.

Surely Ciro will have some sort of game plan to isolate him on kick returns. Like a big Burto bomb with the chasers having no intention to catch the bomb but instead wait to smash Turbo when he catches the ball.

Sure Tom is a worry but the biggest problem is that Andrew Johns has tipped us again. Why oh why does he hate us so much??!!

2017 comes to mind vs panthers
To me 2 weeks ago it is like we showed all our cards against the dogs and they didn’t.
They know what to expect and I think they will have a plan
That’s why I am very unconfident about our chances this week.

If we don’t win this and make a show of the finals this season will be another failure. It’s time for our team to stand up! Tom will be fine. We have with the exception of Saab virtually a full strength team, NO EXCUSES!

Also it will be much cooler on Sunday according to the weather forecast than it was last Sunday. This will suit our big boppers better who monster over the doggies pack….

We made the finals , last year we were 12th.

I wouldn’t call that a failure.

Absolutely, it’s been a trend for many years. Without even looking online, I can think of many that spring to mind:
1. 1994: Dogs beat Raiders in semi, lost GF
2. 2009: Dragons beat Eels in final round and lost first semi a week later
3. 2017: Eagles beat Panthers in final round and lose semi
4. 2021: Bunnies beat Penrith in semi and lose GF
5. 2022: Roosters beat Souths in final round and lost first semi.

It happens all the time. It must be psychological for it to happen so often. It’s like thinking you conquered the mountain, only to find that you have to do it all over again. The opposition are hungry for revenge, etc.

Of course the outlier is 2013

Syd beat Manly Week 1
Syd beat Manly GF

This beat us 4-0 that season including trial IIRC.
