Turbo to Superleague?

Maybe. But just because you buy a new house doesn't mean you plan to live in it immediately. Tom has been known to invest in real estate before.

Anyway, all purely speculation.
I think the story (the Superleague part) is above board. He is exploring his options.

He may be dissatisfied with aspects of Seibold’s coaching style. Doesn’t mean he hates him or the club.

The narrative, for a season and half, is that he is happy to reduce the size of his contract.

In the interim, Koula is now an emerging superstar and Hoppa Jr is a year or two behind him. So Manly are better placed onfield for life after Turbo.

I hope he stays and I think he will. But if he does head over to the UK or France, I don’t think it’s the impending disaster some would have us believe.

Or it could even be a case of him looking at his options should he & the club agree to part ways at the end of 2026.

Something that could happen amicably, with both parties agreeable to terms.

I’ll wait for Turbo to appear on 100% Footy not wearing Manly gear to tell us he won’t be playing at Manly in 2027 but implying he will play elsewhere before I believe it though 😂

I don’t see any of the stuff about Turbo not being happy at Manly & trouble at Manly that was in Weidler’s tweet though…hmm, I wonder why 🤔
That is true, but there is way too many people, not just media types, saying there is player unrest at the club.It may just be a coincidence that the story of TomT exploring his options, but why has it come out now just after the season ended, around exit meetings time.Is TomT firing the first bullet in an attempt to hurry up his extension or to move Seibold on?

November 1 is the big date looming. And that's a mere 50 days away

Many posters have been lamenting that Tom is a) paid too much; b) our cap is distorted as a result; and c) due to injury he is past his best.

Maybe Manly offered him a more realistic salary and he does not like it. It appears Jake will be offered far less and DCE was offered far less and decided to spit his dummy out. Too have a balanced cap you can't have it both ways.

DCE was offered more than what he eventually took at the Roosters,so that says a bit.
Also, the Super League is not what it once was financially,so he wouldn’t be getting a hell of a lot more,if any, over there

You do realise all the media people just repeat each other’s stories, right?

Why would Turbo exploring his options post-2026 be “a coincidence” considering the season is over for Manly & he enters the open market on November 1st?

Could it also be a coincidence that there are negotiations with the club going on pre 1/11 and his Manager is floating a story or two to put the blowtorch on Mestrov and co???

For those people complaining about posters responding to a journalist article on the basis that all journalist want are “clicks” - presumably ST is based on the same financial model, where clicks equals revenue. So the more clicks the better for Dan, I assume. Not sure why anyone would begrudge Dan some $’s by encouraging people not to post their thoughts. Should we all stay silent until something is confirmed by multiple sources? Should we stop reading the press altogether and only comment on official statements from the club?

I say, the more speculation, debate, arguments the better.
