My bet, Turbo re-signs for 2-3 more years on circa 800k prior to Nov 1
That me too.
Hopefully Jake can squeeze out another 2 seasons without any head knocks.

The sadest thing will be if Turbo / Jurbo never get to taste Premiership glory at the club they’ve loved since they were little kids.Wonder if the prospect of Manly pushing or that much closer to a premiership tilt would come into the equation for his planning for the next 3 or so years
Maybe not as far fetched as now might seem the case and with a decent run with injuries and key player availability and performance levels working in Manly 's favor for a change
Fogarty to steady the ship more effectively and consistently , the flair and ability of Walsh and Large ideally coming to the fore soon
Rest of the current backline and even possibly including Garrick[ or maybe not required ] but especially Koula to be at their best
Ola and Tent in particular and whatever capable combo of either present or up and coming forwards to get to a sufficient competitive level
Just as an example with Manly getting the better of the Dogs in the play offs last season and Dogs with only probably moderate improvement , not that far off top billing now
Anyway , may not influence Turbo "s future decisions much at all and this scenario would still obviously require him to be again be close to his best ongoing but a Manly premiership window all going well in that 27 - 28 time sequence for instance , maybe not out of the question by any means
It was b4 the backflip.Yeah, Cherry would of looked at this as an investment property on the GC tho.

It’s highly unlikely to happen in the next 2-3 years but you should never say never .
Yes.Didnt penrith sack a host of local juniors that were great players but paid too much
Then they had a rebuild
Then they got good
I was at that game 😢😢😢😢That ship sailed in 2021, down 22-0 at halftime vs Bunnies in a GF qualifier.
Souths ended up a worthy Grand Finalist just getting pipped by the Panthers, both teams scoring 2 tries. We might have had 50 put on us.
Looking back we over achieved that year, although many on here think that was our correct standard.

Yes remember Covid years , they played all the finals & GF up hereIt was a home game for you being in Brisbane???
I knew they were onto something special the moment Liam Martin had that blinder against us I think in 2017 or 2018, when Barrett was coach. They were unearthing gems left right and centre.Yes.
From memory they let their biggest name stars go, such as Jennings, Luke Lewis, Wade Graham, Matt Moylan, DWZ (?) might have been over a few years, can't recall exactly.
I think that is when they signed Brent Kite to help guide the new generation of young talent into the ranks.
(Took a few years but yes, they got good.)
The Panthers could afford to offload those local juniors because they could see what was on the horizon coming through their ever expanding junior nursery.Does Manly have the same outlook?Didnt penrith sack a host of local juniors that were great players but paid too much

Had 3 disallowed tries [ Turbo 2 and Garrick the other and all 3 real unlucky outcomes ] as well in the i st 20 min before Souths had that quick run of scores , including a couple of fortunate ones before half time thenThat ship sailed in 2021, down 22-0 at halftime vs Bunnies in a GF qualifier.

Yep I have been saying for years that 2019 was the one that got away.Had 3 disallowed tries [ Turbo 2 and Garrick the other and all 3 real unlucky outcomes ] as well in the i st 20 min before Souths had that quick run of scores , including a couple of fortunate ones before half time then
Not sure if Souths were that much a better side but a bit of inexperience in the Manly line up , a few players just below a required ability and consistency level and Souths that year , just a little bit more competitive against the Panthers and would have to think , more or were slightly more able to give the Panthers a decent scare in the G F
Probably should have taken out that final against Souths in 19 if that Jake sin bin did not occur and think had to then beat the Raiders to qualify against the Roosters [ i think ] in the G F
That may have been a more manageable outcome all going real well for success but no Turbo so may have been a big ask
Yeah , go along with all of that , not blaming Jake per say but really seemed to have South"s measure before down to 12 men , was it mid way through the 2 nd halfor slightly latterYep I have been saying for years that 2019 was the one that got away.
We were the better team against souths that night. We got very unlucky with that Jake sin bin. Earlier in the game sam burgess took out Brad Parker off the ball and not even a penalty let alone a sin bin.
If we won that I think we would have beaten Canberra and gone on to face the roosters in the GF.
Turbo was injured as well. If he had played more that year inc in the finals I think we could have won it.
Still look back at the Jamie Lyon Manly era with so much fond nostalgia as i am sure many Manly followers doThat’s a very very short straw , I know Jamie personally and am great mates with Noel Cleal from my country days.
I was aware what was happening with Jamie LONG before most Manly fans , he swore me to secrecy as to “ the plan “.
You know very well why he went there , ZERO to do with money ( I in fact know he earned about a third of what he was getting at Parramatta at the time ) and all to do with not having to sit out those years due to his contract with a club he didn’t want to be there and only until the exact moment he could sign with us.
So come on , I know you want to beat me with every post BUT that’s not a valid example , is it ???
I’ve told this story before , but I attended the group 5 Grand Final in Wee Waa , I think 2004.Still look back at the Jamie Lyon Manly era with so much fond nostalgia as i am sure many Manly followers do
One of Manly all time greats as far as i am concerned , outstanding footy player and team leader
Recall when there was only a couple of years left in his time with Manly and the feeling of regret that it was almost up and how blessed Manly was to have had him
Realize a bit of a delay in re adjusting well to the N R L again in 2006 and in his last season or so , just slowing down a little bit but what a fantastic career in between
No doubt helped his Manly career by being unavailable for rep duties for a long time but his call and to be respected
Won at least one Man of Steel awards in the E S l when he was there so full credit there as well
Really good at 6 in the 08 , G F win and even better at centre in the 11 G F title
When it first became apparent in mid 2006 or so that he was coming to Manly , thought only good things could come from this and fortunately of course , was the case
