Unhappy without Api ..

I’ve been vilified by some for it on here but as I keep banging on, it’s never only been the coaching.

That certainly is part of it but you just cannot lay the blame on any one person / reason , it’s just been a combination of them that’s caused our demise in 2018.

Mate, I do agree with you. Coaching is only part of the problem. Players not performing, combinations not being allowed to be formed largely due to injuries. Its all contributed to where we are on the NRL ladder.

The problem is though, and its true in any team sport, is that when a team doesn't perform whether it be form or a team ravaged by injuries, the coach is always....always.....the first fall guy.

The injury stints of,

Sirronen
Tafua
Korisau
Walker

Have really hurt us this year, and has allowed another of our issues ( **** roster ) to hurt us as well.
Walker and Tafua have been playing for a while now . Have you been fishing feathered friend ?

Isn't he off on a Mormon mission for the next two years?
Really?
I'm not sure that those players are worth investing too much in.
Everyone is entitled to believe as they wish but when it comes to building a club and roster there's not much point including them.
He is good but if he's off on that then we move on.

No vilification mate . Just a difference of opinion . I think Our coach is a dud . You can think other wise .

There's nothing to back any of this up though, I haven't seen anything but a good nippy running game from him. Stable and slick dummy halves are needed, he is Damien Cook without a regulator, too imbalanced. He's brave, although it can't be said he's a good defender, it's quite the opposite. Once again quantity doesn't equate to quality, so what he makes 60 tackles if he misses 10 and his attempts let in a try or two. If we want to be a great side again we need to be harsh and look beyond the good aspects of an individual and rather toward the aspects that are sugarcoated by these.

Too much is sugarcoated for api. Could once again be used as spark of attack off the bench, although that was always meant to be, and to remain, his role. He can't go the 80 without his efforts collapsing, and isn't a smart enough footballer. An opportunist with no real direction. Manly need direction.
Whatever man.

We've definitely missed Api and can't be said that he's one of the players that lets our team down . I understand that stats show that he misses a lot of tackles but they can be misleading. He certainly doesn't let players walk past him. Most missed tackles I've noticed, he's slowed them down for another player to pick up the scraps. If he had a bit more stamina it go a long way to polish his defence . But we could also use fainu off the bench to help him out.
