Of course they did not turn up, they were told to stay home.
Because they were injured!
We started the year without Jorge, Matai, Starling, and Buhrer and that was just the beginning, before they'd even raised a sweat we also lost Gutherson and Lawrence pretty much for the whole season and on it went.

(So yes, must have been crap game plans by Toovey.)

We were gone at the season start after the 2014 capitulation, and the efforts were way below what we would expect. A big clean out and some canny buys and we are a shot. Still a long shot, but we have a chance to climb into the finals again. Top 4 is a possibility.

On paper the 2015 team under performed. But the pathetic defence and the disarray of our attack was very disappointing. I think many players knew Toovey was being punted, and some were actually part of it.

I can't agree, I think our forward pack was one of the weakest in the comp last season and the key stats reflect this. Our backs can't work miracles with poor field position and no go forward.
