Yeah, I have to agree with you there BD. I don’t mind a funny sledge, but Walker’s is just aggro, chest-thumping crap - and he does it when he/the team haven’t earned the right to be lording it over anyone. Still haven’t forgotten him in a Souffs jersey giving Jamie Lyon the treatment (can’t stand Luke Keary for the same reason - they were both utterly disrespectful, arrogant little ****s to a guy who had well and truly earned a bit of respect).

I recall people getting excited when Walker scored his first try for Manly and did the whole chest-thumping, emblem-kissing routine for the cameras. I didn’t think it was anything but an up yours to Souffs at the time, and I haven’t changed my opinion.

Luke Keary has grown up a bit but walker reminds me of Mitchell Moses. He has to get that **** out of his game. He gives away a lot of lazy not back the ten penalties and then every time he gives away a penalty I also cringe worrying he’s going to either get binned or marched another 10. He gives an earful to the refs. He can’t help himself. Pisses me off to no end!

I remember Tezza holding court out the back of Parramatta Stadium one night after a game (we were hanging around waiting for other players to come out and sign stuff, I think he mustn’t have liked showers cos he was first out of the sheds by a long way lol), cracking jokes and telling stories about stuff that was said on the field. Can’t remember anything specific, but everyone was in stitches. He’s got the gift of comic timing, for sure.

I’m entitled to my opinion. Just because someone wears a Manly jersey doesn’t mean they automatically become some wonderful godlike figure beyond reproach (which goes for supporters as well as players - plenty of Manly fans are jerks as well).

See, that’s the kind of sledging I was talking about earlier. Quick, witty, and funny. Not a huge cricket fan, but they’ve come out with some corkers in the sledging stakes, that’s probably up there with the best of them.

Walker’s style is more the continuous, in your face, “come at me brah” crap though, I don’t think he’s got a sledge like the above one in him TBH.
