Hmmm, I’m not sure about this one Bear!

I know. Sounds stupid. I thought so before I watched it. Loved it. But you must also love bizarre. Some scenes of a female child minder, who's actually a retired wizard, protecting children she's responsible for, by chasing out monsters in the basement and under the bed, is hilarious. Real tongue in cheek fantasy.

If you want bizarre, try the two episode fantasy on Netflix called Hogfather. I've seen it before and have it on DVD. Its set on a disc world supported by four elephants atop a giant tortoise. Yes I know its an old Earth myth but in this world they have a kind of Christmas with a Santa called Hogfather (because he looks like a hog). The evil spirits try to destroy the celebration by sending assassins to get rid of Hogfather and steal all the tooth fairy teeth to stop children believing. I know sounds like a kids story. But its not. Some of the characters are absolute fun, despite being nasty pieces of work. Based on a story by Terry Pratchett, a famed British fantasy author. Bizarre and fun.

Pratchett is amazing just read James Islington The Licaneous trilogy which was great and australian I think.

His style definitely represents his influences, you can really see the ideas of Sanderson and Jordan playing out in the books. I am excited to start Hierarchy soon but have to finish my current reads

First Law, I am almost done with book 2, holds up its quite good and fairly close to the "Wolf of the North" series which was a great series with a **** ending.

I then have the latest book in the Bobbiverse to read which are a great fun series, this should see me to the release of the Stormlight Archive next book and that should be a good 2 months of reading for just that book.

A heap of good stuff out there right now

Beautifully filmed which is a change for something billed as a sitcom, but it is much more than just a sitcom.
