Out of interest which club do you think has the worst leadership / owners?

I think most of us agree that the Owners and Leadership of this club are to be kind, bad. I reckon the worst club is between us and the Tigers? What do you think?

For the first time, Manly’s front office has revealed the club cannot guarantee Des Hasler will remain head coach next season.
Despite having a contact for 2023, Manly is issuing emails to members stating the club “cannot confirm” Hasler will remain in charge next year.

The Daily Telegraph has secured a sequence of emails between fans and the club which cast considerable doubt over Hasler’s immediate future at Brookvale.

A Manly board meeting, scheduled for early next week, is expected to finalise the club’s position on Hasler.

A lifelong Manly fan, Cam Smith, told the club he will cancel his membership if coach Des Hasler is forced out of Brookvale – and reckons another 1000 fans with follow.

Smith emailed Manly asking that his “repayments do not commence until it’s confirmed Des Hasler is remaining as coach for 2023 as I plan on not renewing my membership if Des is moved on or resigns as coach.”

The response from Manly on Thursday stunned Smith.

Tigers are improving ( potentially) and seem to have moved on from bad leadership.

Dragons are work in progress.

Manly is diabolical ( currently ).

Absent owners , who I think really only care about the $$$$ is the biggest issue we have.

I just knew , all those years ago , that the ownership model when the Penn’s got 100% control wouldn’t end well.

No one , almost no one anyway , on here at the time , agreed with me.

Here’s looking at you !!!!!

All are terrible tbh, which pretty much explains the relative finishing on the NRL table.

Manly ... and I'll tell you for why ...

The other 2 contestants, Tigers and DragQueens suffer at the hands of merged clubs, split boards and the general skullduggery and numbnuttery that goes along with competing and opposed forces in the same camp ...

We don't have that problem at Manly ... we have one owner, one voice, one power .... AND STILL MANAGE TO HAVE A BITCH FIGHT !!!!

An absent owner , more interested in his leggy blond New Yorker wife ( and can’t say I blame him ) but if that’s your interest SELL THE CLUB.

I'm not sure but I feel if this same thread was put on other 'lesser performing' teams forums, they'd all generally say their own team.

Stop the fight, it isn’t even a contest. The Warriors win this hands down

Look up anything from Mark Robinson and Cameron George and the alarms bells ring. Robinsons finest moment this season calling himself and Matt Lodge alpha males after they got into a scrap at the pub, and is paying Lodge 700k, included in the cap, to not play for them next season. Woolf was keen on the coaching job until Robinson flew to the UK and within 5 mins of speaking to the bloke wasn’t interested anymore.

Cameron George in the press conference announcing the signing of Webster as head coach from Penrith, “he is leaving a good club, to join a great club”

While these 2 aren’t responsible, the club has probably committed the biggest blunder of the last decade, when Craig Bellamy agreed to join the club, but they’d need to wait a year until he finished with Melbourne. They told him that wasn’t good enough and went for Matt Elliott

The Penns need to **** off. In 10+ years of ownership, we lurch from one crisis to the next. It's embarrassing.

Yes the Warriors have been lurching from 1 crisis to another ever since Cleary left the club over the length of his deal wasn’t it?

Yeah they basically made it quite clear to Cleary that he wasn’t wanted so lowballed him to move him on. Cost them Nathan Cleary as well in the long run. Behind the scenes John Hart, ex All Blacks coach, had a big part in running the club, and he quit in disgust, and the best junior talent scout and coach in NZ quit the game a few years later due to the Warriors management

This was all under Wayne Scurrah, Cameron George is a very special operater that they have there now

Penn has absolutely no interest in what happens on the field... just what happens to his bank balance.
