If a Manly player hit Garner high when he was stepping in a scoring situation 5 meters from the line it would have been penalty try sin bin for sure. Then a 3 week suspension just for that.

The sad thing is that if Marty went out and accidentally collared a St Merge player tonight and had it put on report, he'd be gone for at least 4-5 weeks with his priors. Yet Latrine can do a blatant high tackle on a Warriors player without penalty (even though at the very least it should have been a penalty try as the Warriors winger would have scored), he can stiff arm Grub to the head off the ball and from behind and do that high shot on Garner, and he's only got to sit out 2 weeks.

Even when he was a Chook, Latrine was known as a high shot artist but he usually got away with it. The whole thing smacks of him being a protected species in the NRL.
