When he signed with Parra he was the next big thing, the Tim Smith of the time, thus Parra signed him on a big deal.
Then Manly lost walker had a panic attack, and when searching for a 5/8. Parra offered Witt at his full contract price which i hear was around 180-220k
and if people say "he wouldn't of gotten that he was only a rookie etc" just remeber Galloway, Leoroyd Lars, Mapp, Cannings and the like are all on 200-240k
