Will Croker be back?

This guy is so overrated on this forum. I'm not sure what people see in him. Great defender but his main job as a dummy half is his service and that is crap.

IMO he is vastly under-rated on this forum ... no one is saying he is a world beater ... but he is a valuable player ..

He was signed by Barrett/Fulton ... then extended by Dessie the wunderkinder ... then extended again by Seibold ... so 3 coaches in a row have seen something in him that you admit you can't ... go fiqure ..

Is he a great defender though? I feel as though his defence is overrated because he looks beaten up after every game,which gives that impression.Manly’s defence as a whole,has been ordinary in Croker’s time and I won’t say it’s much or any better with Simpkin,but the attack certainly looks better with Simpkin

He has heart and always gives 100%, that's why coaches like him. He just doesn't quite have the skill or vision to be an elite first grade hooker.

Ok,I will. I believe his defence isn’t commanding enough to 1)warrant an immediate return to first grade and 2) make up for his lack of efficiency and creativity from dummy half

Remember he's on the bench - so probably only playing 20-30 minutes.

I'll take that from Croker rather than GCKT any day.

I'm actually hoping Croker plays a genuine forward utility role in this iteration of his career.

The injury to Simpkin was crucial at that stage of the game. He goes off and Jazz is running on empty, giving away ruck penalties, and pretty much cooked.
And the bash and barge of Lodge and Ola in particular was useless. How about some second phase play. That was hard to watch.

Not sure any of our dumb players would have the required ATAR to get in to NRL Uni.

Second phase play for our guys feels like 4 Unit Maths.
