I had some door knocking Mormans the other week and they noticed the Manly member sticker on the car and conversation quickly turned to did I know Will Hoppa as he was their "team leader" or whatever for today and I said I've never met him but I met his dad John years ago. and the guy makes a sideways finger motion and says I know what he was famous for in his strange accent. It must be hard for Will to be Johns son.

He's based at Wavell Heights. He's doorknocked my neighbourhood before (Hendra).

It's funny how approachable he is and the old man is the complete opposite.

Former NRL star John Hopoate has allegedly shoulder-charged and threatened a Sydney council ranger who gave him a parking ticket.
Police on Thursday confirmed a 39-year-old man had been charged with intimidating a ranger after he was fined for illegally parking his car in harbourside Potts Point around 3am on June 22.
"Police will allege the male council ranger was shoulder-charged and threatened but he was not injured," a spokeswoman told AAP.
But Hopoate has denied the extent of the alleged abuse.
"I was in the wrong. I shouted at him and I told the police that," the former NSW and Australia representative told Fairfax Media.
"If he was that intimidated by me he didn't show it, because when he drove off he blew a kiss and stuck his finger up."
Hopoate is due to face Downing Centre Local Court on August 13.
