With $88billion in the bank, you'd have thought buying the weekend's groceries wouldn't have been a problem.

But when Stephanie Hickman's bank account was accidentally credited with the huge sum on Saturday morning, that's exactly what happened.

Instead of spending the money, the Hickmans decided to call SunTrustBank to report the error, but the bank told the Virginia couple it couldn't help them.

Stephanie Hickman's bank account was accidentally credited with $88billiion on Saturday morning

Despite talking to several bank employees, no one could tell Mrs Hickman how the problem occurred or how to reverse the transaction.

'My husband talked to three different people and they all told us they can't access the account and they can't fix the problem,' Mrs Hickman said.

'Everything's frozen, online banking, mobile banking,' she told NBC.
'I'm not saying that the $88 billion is my money, but the $150 at least that we
had in the account was my money and now I can't even access that.'

Mrs Hickman's account was frozen until Monday, leaving the couple unable to access their own money over the weekend.

SunTrust is now trying to resolve the problem so that the couple can use the account again.

In the meantime, Mrs Hickman will have to rely on the loose change that may have fallen down the back of her sofa.

I've had someone get their numbers mixed up and transfer $74k into my account once. Took the bank about a week and a half to find it.

Once they did they took it back plus the interest I had made on it!!
