Women’s State of Origin - Friday 22nd June

16-10 NSW. Bremner WOM for me, Kelly a close second with 2 trys.
This is what sport is about for me. It's not about skill level and in-human athleticism. It's competition and passion for the game and having nothing left ay the end of it. And this is something we are losing in the NRL.

Look I'll be honest, I wasn't going to watch it. But No.1 daughter pleaded with me to watch at least the first half, ( She'd even put up with my constant lesbian jokes). Then tell me what you think she says.
Well I'll be buggered, that was an entertaining, hard hitting, highly skilled game I've seen for ages. Seriously, some of the tackling was bloody brutal!
So no more dyke jokes (OK maybe one), but that game has won me over. Go the Girls.

I don't think she is any relation to Brian but I believe her brother Dylan has just returned to Manly to play for Blacktown.

Her father Ken played lowers for Manly in the 80s as well. He was a prop and captain of the Reggie's for a few years.

Just watched the replay and for me Lavina O'Mealey the 5/8 was brilliant.
Reminded me of another indigenous 5/8 who played for Manly.
Kezzie Apps was her usual self as was Bremner and Studdon, and the maroons centre Meg Ward is a great athlete.
And the Queensland skipper, Karina Brown's speech was a beauty as was Maddie's.
Shame the creepy man was standing behind them.
Loved it as usual.

The funniest part of the night was when the NSW girl who got player of the match got on stage. Apart from being a bloody good little player she had a magnificent little bum and legs lol Watch Toddles eyes alternating between leering at her butt and keeping his eyes front n centre 😛 #gold

Well done Ladies and to all of the coaches and support crew . Played in the right spirit and with surprising good skill level and playing style . This group of woman rep players and others in recent times will go down as very impressive trailblazers for future generations of lady league players .

Rumour has it next year they're playing in lingerie so the crowd will go from 6000 to 16000 next year with a few brave ones leering from the comfort of those nice big trees...

Exactly. It was what the men’s game used to be. No bloody wrestling, chicken wings, cannon balls, block play after block play after block play. I thought Kelly was a stand out as was the 14 for NSW and the no. 12 for QLD.
