The game was won in the middle and if we had turbo sniffing around the ruck when Paseka / Schuster / Keppie bent the line & offloaded we'd have scored a few more.

Our middle was phenomenal - an old manly grind win. Order in best performance for me:
1. Paseka -
Offensive stats: 119m 12 runs (swear he had more) w/ average play the ball speed of 3.96s, and 4 Offloads.
Defensive stats: 31 tackles at 97% efficiency.
Comment: Great innings. Think he broke the line like twice?

2. Aloiai:
Offensive stats: 160m 16 runs with an average play the ball speed of 3.40s (wow - impressive for 16 runs too).
Defensive stats: 34 tackles at 87% efficiency.
Comment: Kept us in the game whenever he was on and really allowed our halves to have serious time and space with the ball, great for momentum.

3. Jake:
Offensive: 15 runs at 121 metres, much more effective tonight. Average play the ball speed of 2.69s is unreal.
Defensive: about 50 tackles at 94% efficiency.
Comment: - again not his best with a few errors but still a huge workhorse and extremely quick play the balls - it gave us the momentum at the end of the match. he was crucial, just needs to execute more with a bit of luck, bleeds Manly.

Marty, Keppie were great, Marty with some impressive stats and aimed up. Toff good too - thought Keppie was more damaging per run however.

DCE over 600 kicking metres in the game - was great to see him have a great running and kicking game again and not overplay his hand too much.

Keppie's hitups, aggression and offloads are fantastic but he needs to be a bit more switched on in defence - he gets caught out in his positioning at times, at other times he goes for a big hit and misses. A bit more experience should sort that out. Really like what he brings to the team overall.

Keep some perspective, the Warriors are a middle range outfit who had a huge number of players missing. As did we of course.
The best part of our win is that it was a clear step forward. The confidence and enthusiasm of the players must get a big lift from that, which can set a platform for small incremental improvements as the year goes on.
By second half of the comp, with luck, we'll be a capable team on the rise. Le'ts face it, a rise was the only possible change after the first 4 games.
