Just thought I would start a World Cup thread.

Socceroos unlucky tonight vs France, played well.

I don't watch soccer at all but I did getting home tonight.
Good game and I thought we gave it everything. Punched above our weight.
I'll watch a few games and take my mind off the Sea Eagles atm.

So disappointing to lose against a very good French side. Didn't think that VAR ruled correctly in giving France the penalty shot.

Plenty of memes around today about the copious quantity of French diving.

It would be good to jag a win!

And Australia...needing to beat a Peru side( which hadn't even scored in this world cup) to have a chance of proceeding... lost 2-0 in a whimper.

Danes and France had a draw so it wasn't enough in the end even if they won but still......

This knock out phase has been one of the best I can recall. Penalty shoot outs are ****ing fantastic
