You are presuming everybody watches the matches on TV. What about the true supporters -- the ones who go to great trouble and expense getting to matches and paying entrance fees (memberships, merchandise etc) -- who are watching in real time? Shouldn't they be the priority? Sport prospered when there was no TV, no Bunker, no technology . . . And as I've pointed out, 99.9% of sporting contests are played without TV and technology, and spectators, players and coaches seem to accept the ref/umpire's decisions.
Let TV stations go back and replay events in slow motion but by the time they return they would have missed minutes of live action because the game has moved on. Let's see how TV viewers like that.
I wish the live spectacle was the priority, unfortunately money talks. I'm not saying it's right. I'm saying it's the way it is and hoping for the game to go back in time 30+ years will only end in dissatisfaction.

Annusly has justified The Bunker ruling that robbed the Titans in Magic Round thus: "It's just a difference of opinion".
So, the ref had an opinion and he ruled Kelly has scored a match winning try.
Why is The Bunker's opinion any more valid than the ref who was close to the action and also saw it in real time?
The Bunker relies on TV coverage and doesn't look at the action in real time. Slowing the action down distorts reality.
The ref should be in charge of decisions not some vidiot in a bunker somewhere.

The game is in a sad place.

I presume the video ref gets paid more than the on field ref.

You notice how he talked about consistency of Paseka sin binning, but when Karapani did the same thing there was no penalty or sin bin, just a repeat set. That apparently proved how consistent the refs are.

I would prefer scrapping 6 agains and short drop outs first.
Then ease up on the crusher and hip drop calls.
The bunker is correct 95% of the time.It just needs streamlining .
And no more new rules ,F O with your 7 tackle set.
And if you go down after a hit ,you go off for medi check.
The woke prima donna players are just as bad as the refs & the bunker.
Harden up mincers !

Yep, cant disagree with any of that.

90% of crushers happen when ball carriers back into the defence. I was never taught to run in reverse when I learnt the game a million years ago.
