    Tommy Talau

Respect your opinion but I didn't see much self preservation from Koula. He was a breath of fresh air at the back and better than what we'd seen from Turbo over the past few weeks.

22 runs for 243 metres tonight. I thought he held his own against Mariner and Staggs who have made many others look ordinary. He has proved me wrong this year, well done Tommy.

[Resurrected] DCE is the worst halfback in the NRL

I missed chunks of the game. Did we use a challenge? If we didn't lose our challenge, I can't understand why DCE didn't challenge the Paseka lost ball after being called held or the high tackle from Paulo.

On the topic of mobile forwards, Navale's try assist in reserve grade shows he may be worth giving a go sooner rather than later. https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2024/05/12/nswrl-tv-highlights--nsw-cup-sea-eagles-v-jets/

I reckon we should go after one of the roosters mobile middle/edge forwards. Egan Butcher and Siau Wong both not making the top 17 this week and with Fifita on his way surely something has to give.

He will fit right in to this team

    Jason Saab

He's a different player with the ball in hand. Prior to last year he couldn't punch through a wet paper bag. Now he's bending the line every run and winning the play the ball. Defense needs a bit of work though.

I guess you could also see it as the club not wanting to risk further injury. If Brown played tonight and injured himself, we'd all be up in arms.

Straight from the horses mouth.. Brown was keen to play tonight but coaching staff wanted him 100% for eels.

    I wouldn't he's done nothing all year

Joe what are your thoughts on Lenaz and O'Donnell as hooker options? Lenaz seems more of a middle forward who can fill in at hooker and O'Donnell seems more like a genuine crafty hooker.

No way you guys deserved a point. Reffed back into the game and an embarrassing milk from the choker Johnson

    Waddell - a pleasant surprise

Waddell was great in 2019 but had a poor 2020 with most of the squad. As others have mentioned, he did well at the dogs and I believe was forward of the year. A good bench option.

    Latu Fainu

I have mentioned before that Latu was on the nose with some of the coaching staff and was stood down from all club commitments early in 2023. Now this could be for a number of reasons including a clash of personalities. I think the club weren't all that upset to see him go. Whether that comes...

    Bull v Waddell

I doubt Schuster plays more than 3 FG games all year..

    Is Jaxson Paulo a starter

96% tackle efficiency in as a 19 year old playing centee against men. He's doing well. He is a weapon in attack too.

    Garricks performance at centre

Respectfully disagree with Burbo at centre. He may have sufficient speed at 2nd row but too slow for centre.

Game Day: Eels v Manly [Round 3, 2024]

    Absolutely disgraceful refereeing today

    Blacktown Workers

On a side note, I liked the move young Hoppa (19) put on for a try. This kid looks good.
