Good point, but it has been a problem for years. We got smashed by the Roosters for this reason last year in the finals. This year is worse because of the loss of Paseka, our depth up front is paper thin, just look at our NSW cup team in comparison to others.- Uber Eagle 72

Every game this year before and after DCE’s decision when we won the ruck we have won the game. It is as simple as that. The sharks have beaten us twice this year exploiting this exact weakness. Our season has been more impacted by our lack of go forward and ineptitude around the ruck. This has imo had a more profound impact!!! than anything DCE is or not doing. I paid $7 to watch his debut on bar tv. Both him and the young no.9 from the Dogs appear to be fine examples of great recruitment. Best Coaches Of All Time
As another poster pointed out this was more of a case of beginners luck for the club. One off rather than sustained success. It was not until 2007 and 2009 they won ( both were stripped) It was not until 2012 they won a legitimate competition under Bellamy. 13 years!- Uber Eagle 72

I don’t think success in State of origin coaching translates to the NRL. Completely different. Bellamy for sheer consistency and tenacity with a boot load of trophies to show for it! As well as coaching in one of toughest and competitive competitions in the world. If only he coached Manly.- Uber Eagle 72
