He's unsigned for next year. I'd prefer to keep it that way. He's been meh.

    2026 recruitment & retention

If I were to make predictions about what our NRL team will look like both next year, and in 2027, something becomes quite apparent. This assumes that Jake doesnt extend, Garrick leaves for Bears, and we release Brooks to the Bears. Realistic most-capped team in 2026: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason...

A little bit of what if... 2019: 1. Turbo 2. Taufua 3. Gutherson 4. Hiku 5. Garrick 6. Hynes 7. Foran 8. AFB 9. Koroisau (he would've come anyway with Ballin leaving I feel) 10. Taupau (same here) 11. Olakau'atu (technically, he did play for us in 2019, but he missed 2018 due to injury that I...

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Our annual Seibold draw will come this weekend. It has to happen at some point.

    2026 recruitment & retention

I think all of you are overreacting. These are Dean Matterson and Ray Vaega replacements. Not exactly supposed to set the world on fire. Wilson has a lot of upside still. If all goes well, we see Navale and Muagututia ahead of Turpin. In case those two don't fire, Turpin has played NRL before...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Little bit of trivia, Blake Wilson is a pilot, and I have a few mutuals with him. Good guy from what I've heard. Dogs fans seem to rate him, but the knock on him is that he's pretty small. We could do a lot worse than Turpin for a depth hooker, given Tevaga, Croker, and GCKT are all on the way out.

    Jake T.

On Channel 9, it sounds like we're resting Jake for the rest of the year. Good move for Jake's long term health. He's too selfless for his own good.

    Caleb Navale

He played 30 minutes against the Knights last year, and 29 minutes against Souths. His stats for those games were 23 tackles/1 missed and 21 tackles/1 missed. I don't think there's any plausible way he could've lost 20 NRL minutes worth of fitness, despite having a better overall NSW Cup...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

The experience would come ala Benji Marshall at the Tigers. It would not be pretty. I'm not saying it will guarantee success either, but at least it's recognising that what we're going through now isn't good. Right now, and throughout this year, we have appeared to been in a state of denial...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

If Ballin was given the reins, it would only make sense from a Des 2004 position. That we are a club losing like ten first graders over the off-season, we can't attract anyone as it is, and we need to lose a bit in order to rebuild around the youth. A genuine, total reset. Not like the Barret to...

    Jake T.

I don't get the comments seemingly wanting him to retire. Sure, we get a million dollars for next year Who on earth are we supposed to spend it on? We're already losing Tevaga, Croker, Aloiai, Sipley, Lodge by the looks of things, and some on here want Jake to go as well. No doubt those same...

    Time to pull the trigger

MCK did surprise me. Waddell's best talent (or lack thereof) has been in his effort. It was noticeably absent against the Raiders. There was a loose ball right in front of him, he showed no urgency to get it, and the Raiders scored. Someone could be a 350kg 65 year old diabetic, but if they're...

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

I'm attending people. For reference, these are the last four games I have attended. Cronulla 40 Manly 20 Roosters 40 Manly 16 Storm 48 Manly 24 Bulldogs 42 Manly 4 Tigers 13+ would pay pretty good...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

Unless they become a first grader they know they can never afford it. Roy Masters was a ****ing idiot calling us Silvertails back in the day, but it's true now. The cost of living here if you're not already a homeowner is ridiculous. Therein lies a significant drawback to us. Any kind of...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

I imagine if Manly ever found a salary cap loophole, we would never use it. Not because we're honest, but because we're cheap.

Someone's been reading Silvertails... https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/why-dumping-daly-cherryevans-after-manlys-run-of-poor-results-would-be-disrespectful-and-heartless/news-story/e0df4a1538b0fd3ed844a3e42a90a475 Not going to post the article here, because it's waffle but Dean...

2025 Rumoured and confirmed signings (NON-DISCUSSION THREAD).

This is true but apparently the Bears are offering him $1.5 million / season. I think it's practically a guarantee they get him.

    2026 recruitment & retention

We have @Bomb Voyage saying that we can expect some signing news this week, and @Hertera saying that it's certainly not Klemmer, so that's something. Mooney is the most logical. That means it must be Josh Schuster.

    2026 recruitment & retention

So Sipley, Lodge, Aloiai, Tevaga, DCE, GCKT, Schoupp, maybe Croker, and probably another that I've forgotten, all leaving now by the looks of things. Who on earth is replacing them? Far out that's a lot of NRL players down the drain. I'm not saying I don't like it, but he have signed literally...
