Same as that Souths game....and others...
Manly are MORE than competitive in most games, but play 60-70 minutes instead of 80.....
Should be 4-6 points higher on the ladder and the Key players need to lift the young team - not allow these poor 10-15 minute sleepy patches.
The comp is too tight to allow that clock off and it's up to the players on the field- not Barrett to retain that intensity.

The best teams get bad calls and use it as ammo to fire up...often causing opposition error ....it's no good using the ref, as it becomes an easy out when times are tough.
Agreed we copped bad calls past 2 games, but with a little more experience and better leadership, will overcome these situations better in the future.

In years gone by that would have just fired the team up!!

Exactly. We had plenty of opportunities to win the game but we let that one bad decision get to us. It's happened in 3 of our losses so something needs to be done.

It would have been a 5 second effort for the bunker to fix this dud call.

However....the more 'subjectiveness' the nrl takes away from the match officials....the less impact their 'subjectiveness' can have on games.

The nrl's gotta do what the nrl's gotta do.

And it will come , every long term side has their ups and downs.

The trouble is we have had 10 glorious years and most fans have become so used to that situation that they've forgotten about the bad times before it!
