Just added a bit of spice to next years clash(s) with the Sharks, every side lifts when playing against the Premiers.

50 years is a long time to wait , good on them for breaking the drought.

That's the sort of passion we need to find again.

I did not see the game because when it started I turned it off and stuck in my 08 DVD and viewed manly beating the cheats 40 nil.I had my own celebrations.Now that Cronulla has won their first grand final I can start disliking them again with no regrets.

Cronulla were the better side for 60 minutes, yet Melbourne hung in there and could have won in the dying minutes.
I'd love to see that type of commitment in Manly. It has been missing for the past two seasons.

While I don't disagree with the general sentiment of your post, I think you're dreaming if you think that everyone was 'on the same page' in 2008 and there was no infighting or politics at Manly.

The infighting was probably at its peak from 2007-2012, so absolutely correct!!

Fifita could have score three tries and made 20 tackle breaks and 100 tackles but he was never going to get the Churchill Medal. I reckon the whole 'FKL' saga has cost him the CC Medal. Hate him with a passion but he was best on ground.
