THE future of South Sydney star Luke Keary is clouded due to a spat between the playmaker and Rabbitohs co-owner Russell Crowe.

Seven News is reporting that Crowe launched a tirade against the entire team during a bonding night at Crowe’s property in Coffs Harbour.

While Crowe is said to have torn shreds off the entire squad for their performance in 2015, Keary stormed out of a drinking session after he was berated by Crowe in front of his teammates.

Keary is off contract at the end of the season and already attracting interest from rival clubs.

News Corp first got wind of the fallout two weeks ago as Keary continues to be linked to a move to Gold Coast Titans, who have lost Kane Elgey for the season due to knee injury.

But Keary is signed until the end of 2016 and Souths are now unlikely to release either player at this late stage.

THE DRAGONS have announced the signing of former Melbourne Storm playmaker Shaun Nona on a one-year deal.

foxsports.com.au is reporting that former Parramatta flyer Ken Sio could be making an NRL comeback with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Hearing from a mates brothers girlfriend that tits have all but signed Luke Keary. He does support the tits so it might just be wishful thinking.

SHANE Richardson has quit his post as the NRL’s head of game strategy after just nine months in the role to return to the Rabbitohs as the club undergoes a front office shake-up.

Gold Coast Titans announced appointment of Roosters CEO Brian Canavan to newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Maybe why we have kept Burgess, Lawrence and Starling

Th mole said he will have the story on Lawrence tomorrow about his supposed siginng with the roosters

Very new to this and not sure if right place so before I write anything can anyone confirm if Charlie haggatt is on our books

Triple M's Matty Johns believes the Roosters are moving stuff around in the possibility that Hayne may become available.
"At the moment they've got Blake Ferguson penciled in at fullback but they've moved Jennings on," said Matty.
"Ferguson's best position, I believe, is centre which means they need a fullback. And if Hayne does come back he just slips straight in there.
"I have been told that if he does come back to the NRL it will be the Roosters."
Triple M's Supergrass has revealed that Jarryd Hayne could return to the NRL sooner than you think.
"I was told yesterday from a very reliable source that Jarryd Hayne has signed with a new manager, that will take place in March. His new management company has both American and Aussie representation," he told, Triple M's Grill Team.
"Now the more interesting part of this story is that... he will do one more season in the NFL before coming back to rugby league.
"His new management team aren't worried if the [San Francisco] 49ers aren't going to pick him up - they reckon they'll find another team for him.
"[And] there is talk sweeping rugby league world that the Michael Jennings move to Parramatta is all about the return of Hayne in 2017."

To all:

This thread is for '2016 Rumoured and confirmed player (or coaching staff member) signings' ONLY.

The rules for this thread are:

  1. Post only the details of the rumoured or confirmed player (or coaching staff member) signing (including a source if possible).
  2. If you want to comment on it, or discuss it, create a new thread in the relevant forum thread section.

Other than this post, any other posts that are found to be contravening the above rules in this thread will be deleted without warning.

Re: Thread Rule #2,

If creating a new thread scares you too much and you still want to discuss or chat about a rumoured and confirmed player (or coaching staff member) signing, you could instead utilise @Disco 's 'General NRL Chat' thread that I have since made a 'Sticky' thread but please, in the first instance, always report the rumoured and confirmed player (or coaching staff member) signings news in here first and then preferably a new thread for the news. :)

The standard of journalists is pretty poor these days.

Joseph Paulo has already been released months ago by parra and has signed with the sharks

It is Junior Paulo that the raiders want for 2016 as he has supposedly already signed to go there in 2017. Rothfield quoted this exact info when Jennings signed

ROOSTERS MOVE FOR SBW! Sydney Roosters supremo Nick Politis is considering a shock move to bring superstar Sonny Bill Williams back to the NRL — this season. http://bit.ly/1WUD0yA
A FEW days before Mitchell Pearce’s Australia Day scandal, Roosters supremo Nick Politis was spotted chatting over coffee in a Double Bay cafe with Sonny Bill Williams’ agent Khoder Nasser.

And they weren’t talking about the weather.
Politis wants to bring the All Blacks superstar back to Bondi as soon as this year — and he’s prepared to offer him a multi-million-dollar lifetime contract to make it happen.

The Roosters want Sonny Bill Williams back at the club. It would be a playing *contract for a minimum two years for the champion 30-year-old forward with a job as a club ambassador, *mentor and corporate *magnate after football.
As much as it appears a longshot of happening this season, don’t totally discount it.
It would need the Roosters to approach the All Blacks management to secure his release before the Rugby Sevens at the Rio Olympics.

This crazy off-season has *suddenly left the Roosters with a spare $1.5 million in the salary cap after the departure of Michael *Jennings to Parramatta and the *likelihood of Mitchell Pearce being stood down indefinitely.
One thing about Sonny Bill is that he loves a challenge.
It’s one of the reasons why he is trying to add Olympic gold to his rugby World Cup medal and the premiership ring he won at the Roosters in 2013.
But the challenge at the Roosters is equally as tempting.

This is a club that is in disarray. They have now lost SBW, Anthony Minichiello, Michael Jennings, Roger Tuivasa-Schek, James Maloney and now Pearce in two years.
They have gone from being one of the glamour clubs of the competition to a side that might even struggle to make the top eight.
Apart from his footballing talent, SBW is the obvious role model this club desperately needs.
As much as Jake Friend has done a fine job as captain since SBW left and Anthony Minichiello retired, the culture has not been the same and the club clearly has issues with *alcohol and discipline.
SBW often visits the Roosters and trains in their Moore Park gym when he is in Sydney.

The younger players love it.

Sonny Bill Williams is set to play at the Olympics.Interestingly, SBW’s reputation was as trash as Mitchell Pearce in his younger days when he drank heavily and walked out unannounced on the Bulldogs.
There is now not a more admired or respected footy player in league or union.
It is this influence that could help the likes of Pearce, when he returns, and all the youngsters at the club.
There are a number of options for the Roosters if Pearce doesn’t play again this season.
They could try to sign one of South Sydney’s disgruntled halves, Adam Reynolds or Luke Keary.
Rabbitohs officials deny they are unhappy but other club insiders *insist it is true.
Or they could try to persuade *Jarryd Hayne to return to the NRL.
Hayne’s manager Wayne Beavis is soon to sit down with the San Francisco 49ers hopeful for a heart to heart chat about his future. It’s no secret Beavis is concerned that Hayne earns just $150,000-a-year in the 49ers practice squad while he could get almost $4 million over three years in the NRL.
He would be a wonderful acquisition for the Roosters and put bums on seats.
But when it comes to *fixing the club culture there is only one man who can do it. SBW.
