2018 Clubs Blue Chip Acquisitions. Where does Manly stand?

And so it ends, the aftermath of the blue chip trade season is upon us. The final bells are tolling, and Skynet is about to be unleashed.

We are barren though, save for a relative of a Crocker, and something called a Siply.
But... we have a Brown, a Green, and a Cherry on top.

Bring on 2018; the year of the just deserts is upon us.

Go Manly!!!!!!!!!

Yes but we cant use that every time excuses get this club no where.
Over the hasler toovey era we had in big name lyon, kite, bk, matt orford.
So des had alot of discards, juniors and 3nd tier pick ups like stevie in qld cup.
Last year we picked up uate, kelly, green, perrett, siro. Season before was big in marty, lussick, walker, api.
So the squad been built up, no doubt we have amazing crop of kids coming through.
But why is scott fulton and carty not selling
A) best young coach in comp
B) playing with turbos
C) crop of young kids coming through
D) sell lifestyle
E) get dce, tom, marty invovled hearing gallen been doing this
A) Cut the crap and show me the money
B) Cut the crap and show me the money
C) Cut the crap and show me the money
D) Cut the crap and show me the money
E) Cut the crap and show me the money

Roosters are about to announce a star forward according to rumour.

Might be Creighton as stated in yesterdays Telegraph, though I was think a big name like Klemmer or the like.

Not denying that but if the sharks are 1 of those clubs than we may as well pack it in.
I agree, I live in the area, I doubt very much that there would be more than two Sharks players who would have third party agreements with non sponsors, and outside the Shire, hardly anyone supports them.

It’s as funny as seeing the Rorters do their stuff without any consequences from Toggy and his merry men.

Meanwhile Toggy is dreaming up some way to get Manly back on the front pages again to ensure the “ evil empire” is driven as far down as possible.

I mean to say, finishing 6th, well that wasn’t in the plan!

Gotta say I'm a little over the small town thinking of 'we don't have access to TPAs'.
Why not? Big multinationals should be accessible to all. We're the only club to have won a premiership every decade for the past fifty years - i.e. We're a consistently successful club. Our geographic base surely must go all the way from North Sydney to the Central Coast.
It's rubbish thinking. Hopefully Lyall Gorman (is he even announced yet?) will get rid of such provincial thinking.

If this is true, then that is absolute crap. They only had 800,000 left for gronk, sorry I mean Cronk. They say its a level playing field, yeah right, for who. And Im not having a go at you Bob. Its no wonder I am losing interest in the game. These last few weeks has been how important Cronk is to the roosters and how important it is to get them right again. Hello, what about all the other teams that are really struggling. I think its about time Politis gets off the board, its an absolute joke and an insult to the other Sydney teams, unless of course you are the slime, dogs or the gummies

Well said mate . A clubs biggest asset are the brains that are running it .
People either make clubs great or make them go broke
The only disadvantage any club would have is the one that lacks innovation .

The Jerker reckons Dylan Napa to the Eels, if so bet they keep the Dogster ( the Rorters that is).

Napa is over rated. roosters dont need him. but if they still manage to hold onto pierce and sign crighton that will do me!

Would love manly to sign crichton. he is going to be so good! Otherwise thompson would still do a great job, keep hastings to do the role green was doing and just do the general organsing and kick goals. dce to add the spark either side of the ruck. go hard for klemmer.

A gun back rower and prop is where manly need to be throwing all the cash. hastings is on basically nothing but could do the job for the team. we need potent forwards

Hopefully we are in the mix for Creighton still. But I’m confident the club has plans for many different contingencies and are working actively to sign good players. I look forward to seeing who they will be.

I wish I had your optimism Simon! If we are at all fair dinkum we’d also be in for Napa if reports are true he’s on the outer at Bondi!

Doubt it though!
