We didn't have much option really, besides, he'd still be on our books for next year if he hadn't left.

Most of our good signings over the last couple of years have been during the off-season and players who were under contract but released to come to us. I imagine this off-season will be no different.

As far as recruitment goes I agree we need a good Hard running 2nd Rower to compliment Sironen. I think having Brown on the bench is holding back other younger players just as capable if not more versatile! Someone with a lot more spark & better defense.........Jamil Hopoate! Our forwards are not as bad as they're made out to be!
We have a good choice of rugged, hard working forwards who have shown they can match it with ALL other forward packs & just need time to mature & gain some self belief! We have some youngsters that we need to hold on to & if we go out buying other players then we may just lose them!!!
Taupau, Lussick, AFB, Perrett, Tanginoa, Sipley, Paseka, Amone.......
Jake T, Sironen, Winterstein, Lane, Bainbridge, Hopoate, Brown......
Add maybe a Tagatese to replace Lawrence, a Josh Jackson type & we have a good solid team. They have shown what they're capable of......not sure if all that Salary Cap shyte is playing on their minds but I'm sure they'll snap out of it! I have a feeling someone is gonna soon be on the end of a good & proper hiding!!

Terrible comparison. Dylan Edwards is at fullback, barely having to do any defence, whereas Kelly is playing in the hardest position on the field to defend.

Excuse me Volley, The fullback position is one of the most critical and responsible positions on the field as it is part of the spine that glues the team together and spine in defence is something turnstile Kelly does not have . If Kelly defended in the NRL the way you defend him he would be a star just like you .

Doesn't change the fact that centre is a harder place to defend than fullback. Dylan Edwards is a top young player. Using him to criticise Kelly is laughable though, considering they play in completely different positions.

Clint Greenshields looked great at fullback when he was young, how'd that turn out? Plenty of successful centres struggled in defence at a young age, due to the difficulty involved in defending in that position.
