There are many ( MANY) who were here for ages but have gone.

Generally I think the quality has degenerated in recent years, many seem to be unable to debate without resorting to personal attacks.

A good example of how it should be is the discussions between myself & @LeonardCohen , we disagree on many things, but I respect his views ( even if different ) and there is some common ground.

Couldn't agree with you more Mark. I've been posting since 2017, where's all the fun banter gone? People forget it's just a game of footy, and that's what we should be talking and focusing on. Not personal attacks on members, players, or anyone. I'm forever grateful I found this site all those years ago, and thank Dan for the amazing job he's done with it. Like you said Mark, there are many, many who are no longer on here and it is sad. I get the fact people can get very emotional or defensive or whatever the case, and yes we're all passionate about our team, but remember, we want to be hated by everyone else, not be hating on each other. I really hope one day, they do come back and as the great @BOZO says, "make this place great again"

I think people just have to respect that others can have different views.

I laugh at the comments from the ASC / ASS people , and especially if challenged to pick the next big thing after they sack the incumbent.

BUT

It’s their view , and I respect that they are entitled to that view.

Doesn’t mean they are right , or wrong.

Also doesn’t mean I’m right ( or wrong ).

Every one of us yearns for success and many of us were spoilt by those wonderful years between 2007-2013 , however without an uber rich benefactor , willing to throw 20-30 million a year in and not be concerned by it , I see us being perennially “ mid table “.

Sad , but probably fact.

So we need to just enjoy the times we do a little better ( last year a good example ) and not kill ourselves from within when we don’t.
