Don't be pedantic Fluffy - play the ball, not the man. Kiwi makes a good point and Aussie crowds have not been angelic over the years.
The two worse things I have seen in spectator sport happened at cricket:
One was a redneck telling Richie Richardson to come over so he could 'gut him' and use his as a wet suit!!!
The other was two morons from Dubbo (who lives there?) who were totally racist towards a Chinese spectator to the point where this man and his family were forced to leave - it was a disgrace and then these drunken fools took exception to the more decent Aussies around who were offended by their behaviour.
