6pm Friday Game

Just seen on Channel 7 news that the NRL and Broadcast companies are looking at a 6pm Friday game for the next TV Deal.

6pm game would also be pay TV only.

A stupid kick off time that only a Zorba person would come up with.

Firstly how do people that work get a chance to get to a 6pm start on a Friday night....??

And secondly even if it is for the TV audience I am sure I am not the only one that very rarely gets home by 6.........!

Well that is good to hear @ManlyArmy, would certainly be a pretty silly move if it was across all teams....! But then again nothing surprises me with the incompetent morons that run the NRL.

A draw that is suppose to be fair will be skewed to another team - it is a massive advantage to have a consistent break between games, something the bongos have enjoyed for way too long

Have to admit, I miss watching league on Saturday afternoons. Adelaide started getting the ABC telecasts in the early 90's when the commentators were Warren Boland, Arthur Beetson, John Peard and Debbie Spillane. Manly got quite a few home games that I got to watch and one that will always stand out was the day we thumped Western Suburbs 66-8 in 1994. Cliffy was on fire playing halfback that day.
