Easy match summary. We weren't very good. Fortunately, the Warriors were worse. Or, as the Kiwi commentators put it at half time, "Both teams have let themselves down based on what we've seen in previous matches."
Biggest worry was that we looked slow all across the park. And we still can't tackle. Cullen and Joey Lussick looked good though!

Taufua was playing right in the middle a lot too (which I thought was interesting). Are we seeing a transition to the forwards? I was thinking that during the game. Or maybe just a nines experiment?

Centres maybe? Cullen impressed, Jorge does look bigger, but I thought the same of Lawrence as well. Kelly doesn't seem all that quick, a bit too small for NRL. Where's Parker???? Must be a shoe in for round 1?

Such mixed emotions for me. I kind of want us to lose both games to avoid injury, but I'm so glad we won. A whole lot of good players - I thought Cullen was our standout.

RE: Uate....I must have been watching a different player than you blokes...he beat the first and mostly the second defender every time. I thought he was great. Most of our other new recruits also scored a try.

Gosh, do we have to be negative ALL the time?

I also thought Uate played quite ok mate, certainly a few tackle busts, a good clean up on our try line in the first half. Some harsh markers, but each to their own.
