I notice that an earlier thread was deleted where an article was posted that was critical of how our club has been run by the football team management.

I respect that we must be fair to a club legend but I think what the fans are saying is they can see the evidence of what is happening every week.

Right now it is a difficult time for our club. We have been spoilt for a long time and how we are in total transition and it is a painful process.

We have watched the fabric of the club change and as paying members we have been forced to accept these changes which were made on the premises that we are in a results business.

Our record of 8 wins from our last 26 games tells a sorry tale of where we are as a club right now.

I would like to see the club embrace debate and as fans and members we are entitled to our opinions.

The thing that sticks out is for all this change there has been little accountability and you accept as a fan that change is difficult and rocky like it is now, but debate should NOT be shut down to protect individuals.

I accept that the current management of the team are doing their best for the club but they have to understand that they are under scrutiny from the members and fans like me cause we all want to see the club strong again.

But the club don't have to understand they are under scrutiny from fans as they (allegedly) threaten all media sites that publish anything bad.

So when it is taken down, it no longer exists...then all is right with the world!

The real crack up for me is there was a great little online community that the club ran some years back and it was shut down and users were directed here.

This sort of post goes up and the Club, which gave up a forum of their own, seeks to control what is presented here by bullying the site owner.

Yeah I saw this too. Im worried for DCE, he better be cautious in showing his cynical attitude toward the media because they are about to go at him big time. Led by that muppet Gordon Tallis who still has it in for DCE after he left Gold Coast. Tallis being a paid ambassador for the Titans and thought that he had personally swayed DCE into joining the Tits only for it to fall apart.

He also benefits from the strongest junior base in Sydney and has still ****ed it up. But still, age of internet + need for instant over reactions = our current dire situation.

Can you also do a list sowing Penriths under 20s and their seasons over the same time and highliht Barretts tenure as coach, hell even explain why he was hired by bozo if your game enough.

I was involved in a defamation case many years ago.

I was the President of the local chamber of commerce in my old home town.

We were pushing for a bypass of the town, at that stage some 2000 semi trailers a day went through the Main Street.

The COC came out with a preferred route, which involved the sale of some commercial land owned by COC members.

The local paper claimed that myself and the then Vice President were " secretly paid" to endorse the route, and if approved we would receive large cash handouts in brown paper bags.

The route chosen ( which exists today) was the only one that fitted into the funding the Government had allocated, there was never any " paper bags".

The campaign went for weeks and weeks , lots of letters to Editors but still it went on.

My credibility in the town was shot to pieces, my business suffered , it was a terrible part of my life.

I sued the paper, but didn't win , simply because they used the word " alleged ", time and time again.

So it's a fine line!!

PS: I lost the defamation payout ( many hundreds of thousands) but settled for court costs and a retraction.

But the damage had been done.

I don't think any Manly supporter doubts the credentials of Bob Fulton for one second, he is a Manly Legend and a NRL Immortal.

The club has been through a lot since the departure of Des and I just hope Bozo has Taumalolo and Woods (or equivalents) lined up as part of his plan for 2018 and beyond.

For now I just wish to sit back and watch our team play, win, lose or draw.

Jamie Lyon was quoted that Barrett is a good coach if you can recall . Jamie has some credibility for mine

Football is a game of opinions. I appreciate you hero worship your name sake, that is your right, but you have to admit that our club right now is not a happy place and this has happened under the leadership of Bozo.

When the last football coaching team was dismantled we were told it was because results were not good enough and everyone who is fair understands that our failure in 15 was down to our failure to initially secure two halves, the horrible injury toll and the coach of the day was blamed for things that were largely out of his control.

This club is not owed by Bozo and like any other employee he has to be accountable. Recently Leicster City sacked their manager who had one their first title in years. All about results. O

I respect that you love Bozo. We can agree to disagree with whats going on.

Call me a drama queen fuelled by negativity or maybe I am a realist who tells it like it is and reflects similar opinions of writers on this forum.

You can be upset all you want about whats been written here but the undeniable facts are that our teams performance since Bozo took over the reigns of the football department have been dire.

8 wins from 26 is overwhelming evidence when his introduction was brought about by the so called failure of the previous coaching team who if you remember in 2015, had to deal with the task of retaining 2 halves, one who didnt want to be here and the other got a better deal when he did leave. We have a massive injury toll that crippled the club and salary cap issues to deal with. Most of the problems of that year were hardly the fault of Toovey and his team yet they carried the can for it.

There are fans like myself who are deeply concerned about the direction our club is taking, the gutting of the player roster and some puzzling decisions about players let go. If Toovey was accountable for the team of 15, the surely Bozo and TB have to be accountable for whats going on right now.

It is too early this season to make a final judgement on them. If this does not change in the next 8 weeks are we are out of the running for the finals, we are faced with the same problems.

Bozo is a club legend, not one disputes that. He is also the current football club manager and fans and members that pay money to this club deserve answers from the head of the football department if things do not improve.

I hope they do, I really do but the culture that has made us great is under threat right now and if we go down the pathway of shutting down opinions that question decisions made by the club we may as well go home. Everyone on here wants the club to do well.

Fact is we are a divided club and we need to come together. That has to come from the owners. We need leadership not excuses any more!
