Lets face it, when it comes to rep footy some players get picked largely on reputation of past performances and not on the form that they're actually in.

Ponga is one of many this year in Origin (both sides) who definitely hasn't been picked on 2025 form.

Apparently he's out with a foot injury anyway

Same with dce regarding form. He was atrocious for us got picked and was bad for qld

Spoke before the game as well, was asked about leading the side, very level headed kid, being named captain at 21 says a lot. He’s also formed a pretty handy combo with Hammer, where ever Kotoa goes Hammers knows……..
