All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

What a great game. That Harry Grant block penalty was pathetic. Storm will win it this year and then not shed a single player of substance despite making two grand finals in a row and adding Utoikamanu. They literally never have to shed players. And if and when they do, they'd replace the ones they let go with better ones. Wish it was us.
Yeah, Grant got away with it, he actually had to vere around the Riff player then the academy flop. And Kline and the bunker fell for it.

For all the talk about “using our weapons”, it’s criminal how we fail to use Saab (and Turbo for that matter) in the air.
Our weapons are from the 'acme' catalogue

Very good cheating as well by running into the guy when he knew he couldn't make it to Cleary on the field goal.

Grant smarter than the idiots in the bunker and a great dummy half play to win the match.

That said. A good loss for Penrith to lose after 9 straight wins.
Harry is 10x smarter than anyone in our team.

OMG! I just watched a replay of that obstruction call from a different angle. The NRL should be embarrassed. Grant had actually ran past Leota, but stuck his arm out to catch him as he passed. That is absolutely pathetic from the NRL.
Don’t disagree completely but Leota took one really small step off his position but Harry dived into him too.

Yeah, the arm out on the way through followed by the award winning flop. And the ref and bunker clowns went with the bs just shown.

Not sure it’s so much a quality issue as it is a planned tactic. We aim to just hand it back as close to the try line as possible without the risk of a 7 tackle set. Which seems odd given Saabs height should be a definite attacking threat, which is what storm are doing with Coates. A positive, attacking attitude vs negative, defensive attitude.
It helps that one winger plays for Qld & Aus (and can catch) and the other one is, well, Jason Saab.

True, but Leota shouldn't have been there, he wasn't in a position to look like he was a chance of getting the ball and that's an indicator.
Harry made a bird of it but chances are the bunker would've looked at it anyway

Normally with games that I just can’t pick between I’ll pick one on here and one on the family tipping comp so I can at least get one tip right but I thought no I’ll back Penrith on both because I feel like cheering for a side, well that plan just went to ****eee.

I actually think Penrith were in a grind and the turning point that just swung momentum was Blaize’s no look pass that caused a try.

I also was pretty certain that Cleary knocked himself out for a split second when scoring that try, you could hear the contact through the mic and the way his head hit the turf, I think the fact he got up so quickly helped him not possibly go off for a HIA.

I understand that technically Leota shouldn’t have been standing where he is but the absolute theatrics of Grant were ridiculous, we all know Grant loves to milk a penalty and actually got penalised against him last week for purposely throwing the ball into the player when he was trying to milk it.

Hard night for bizza, nothing he could of done more and you could see how frustrated he was with himself, that play is like a guaranteed cheat code.

The try from Grant was great but I would have enjoyed it more if I didn’t tip the riff haha. Bloody smart sneaky annoying little clever pest.

I beg to differ. Leota could be said to have moved out of the way of Grant if anything. Grant ran around the left on purpose to crash into him, however the most direct route to Cleary and his right foot kick was to the right.
Grant milked, plain and simple.

That's fine thou. Agree to disagree.
Do you know the rules?

If Harry ran around Leota and didn’t touch him it still would have been pulled up. Leota stood as a blocker.

Absolute BS. He is not standing beside the ruck with that ridiculous blockers play that led us to this rule in the first place. He was standing 10m back in a legitimate position to take a run. That is a crock rule and a horrible interpretation given what is was introduced to stop, and that travesty of a circus tonight. It just undermines our game.

What’s with serial Manly hater Roy Masters joining in the Storm team huddle for the song?

Those old Magpies fans must be scratching their bald heads.

Good reason to dislike Roy twice as much now.

I must applaud how the match was refereed; Limited number of penalties and just one six-again.
It just reinforces that refs should minimise their whistle-blowing. It was a great game, made more so by the lack of stopages from the ref.
