All NRL Games [Round 24, 2025]

Honestly, the only thing I can think of is that the Chooks still feel that Walker needs an older halfback mentor.

But even that seems dubious at best.
Walker should mentor DCE. Walker has - gasp! - learned and developed as a player since coming into the NRL, working on and improving everything in his game. In his 57 years in the NRL, Cherry has learned sweet FA. What can he possibly teach Walker about halfback play?

Geez felt for the Dragons, losing 3 forwards and an outside back as 18th man, personally think they were the better side majority of the game too.

And thanks a lot Dogs, I got my tip wrong 😡 luckily I went roosters on the family tipping comp so at least I got a tip right somewhere on this spinning rock that we call earth.

question for @TJ55 , what's the general consensus on the kennel and even your thoughts on Curran? He seems to have one too many errors in him, in my opinion.
Agree - dragons were easily the better side. Warriors are not a top 4 side, regardless of where they are on the ladder.

Although i'm sure they are inwardly screaming, this round seems like the refs have dropped the number of 'six agains' down appreciably.

The Dogs without all the six agains weren't so good last night compared to the Manly game. Warriors, panthers, Storm and Dogs all scored way less points than the rest of the season.

Play the ball with your foot gonski too

Yeah well i reckon you can trace that back to being pretty much ignored again about the time Penrith started winning games again.

Some fans don't think it matters, but it does. Letting roll balls go gets a team momentum.

Of course, there are teams like Manly that in possession have absolutely no urgency at the ruck at all, even if roll balls were allowed.

True - why is it that as a team, we never seem to concentrate on the basics? All those little 1%’s add up - it’s basically how the panthers got to where they are. Drilling the basics over and over again. Have the time our lot seem like they are daydreaming rather than being fully invested in what is happening around them.

Yes it seems coach Cleary has done a Moneyball type thing on the game, referees and rules. Old hat coaching on pure rugby league skills and hard work, isn't enough the way the NRL games are officiated.
