A mate works for Audi here on the coast, 4 titans players and 2 adminsitrators get a new Audi every 3 months, they don't own them, they Test Drive "demonstrators". I would say though that is 15-20K per year for a lease, which i am sure that they don't claim.

They're still getting value from that deal though.. Ownership doesn't matter, its still a benefit.

If so then it should be third party salary cap counted, if not it is fine.

It won't become part of the salary cap as long the dealership negotiates the arrangement directly with the football player and not through the club however it will need to be reported to the ATO and any FBT (Fringe Benefit Tax) paid.

I think it is pretty well documented that they were cheating in 2008. The investigation to date has said rorting to the value of $1.7mil over 5 years or something. If they weren't cheating in 2008 then why did the strip them of the 2007 and 2009 premierships ? Highly unlikely they stopped cheating for one year in 2008.

They are sponsors in some form... If you look at the GCTs coaching box you notice the James Frizelles Audi symbol around the edge.

They would claim that in the cap as it is very obvious.  If I was a auditor and I knew Audi sponsored the club you would be looking at players cars straight away.
