Weird we prioritised Boyle over Davey - Especially given we have about 6 or 7 props and a lot less depth in the second row.

As much as it was sad seeing guys like Davey and Foran go, you just know in your head and at the age that they are, and with past history they are only one injury away from doing significant time on the side lines.

So in a squad of 30 you have just NRL players or players who you think can do a role.

I am trying to understand if you are just trolling or it is your belief that you stack a team full of “players” rather than defined roles.

I like Davey and think he adds value however with the balance of our cap I am not sure how he fit. Boyle has not done much but plays a different role

The question is to compare Davey to the other edge forwards not someone like Boyle

Pretty sure the min is now 130k from last season. Not a bad job at $2,500 a week for a player who may only play a few games of first grade.

He has played 46 first grade games ... hardly fringe ... and he has what? ... 4-5 years of potential income.

He would be making a hell of a lot more with a trade ...

Gold Coast 22 games in 2 seasons.
total 48 games in 6 seasons.....mmm...he's a fringe first grader.
Maybe doesn't have a trade to fall back on, so, if that's the case, it's ok money.

Yes, but his lack of games is not the result of lack of ability ... it is due to injury.

By your definition .. Tom is also a fringe player ...
