Attention Penn's...Manly fans say no to Cartwright

The Barrett situation is untenable but I am concerned the club are going to promote Carty.

I also heard that Seibold left because he didn't "fit" into this drinking culture that Baz and Carty were allegedly fostering. He wasn't one of the boys...

I also heard that Taupau allegedly didn't like the way Baz had his "crew" of pets amongst the playing group. He basically gave DCE and Trbo's special treatment.

If this is true and proves to be the case then we are not going to turn a new stone and build a strong culture if the same regime is running the football operations.

It sounds like Carty is part of the booze culture that has obviously divided the playing group and resulted in poor attitude and application on the field. We need to clean out the ranks. No to Cartwright and Ferris and their party boy/bullying culture. We need a professional hard head that doesn't care about being mates with the boys.

Does anyone know how to get an online petition happening? I reckon it would get a fair few signatures we could pass on to the Penn's. I reckon the only reason the players want Carty is so they can keep pissing up and run their own show.

If they sign Cartwright as coach it will probably be the final nail in Manly's coffin as crowds will struggle to get above $6k at brookie if they players continue to serve up the crap that they have this year

Searle and Cartwright had a similar relationship up here as he is alleged to have with Barrett.....and let’s just say both guys paid a big price personally

Carty played no part in Searles deception but Searle is universally disliked up here and for good reason. There is hardly a supplier of goods and services he didn’t rip off. Young tradies are the lifeblood of the footy here and he dudded plenty of them.

Gold Coast is still a small place. A lot of the lack of crowd support came from the community disowning the side as he owned it.... everyone had a Seale story to tell.

The new owners are well respected and with some success on the field I can see a return to the good crowds they got for the first 3 or 4 years.

Surely we need a new page next year. The players need some old fashioned discipline and I don’t think someone who has been involved in the farce of the last three years and issues prior to that is the man to do it.

Madge did the same thing to Canterbury...he knows he has the runs on the board to sit and wait for the right opportunity. No one wants Carty so he will take whatever he can get.

That said, I will 100% support any coach, until they prove unable or incapable of doing the job.

Seems quite obvious that he is part of the current issue of the coaching staff having created a boys club within the playing group and perpetuating a drinking culture in that group.
